Where are you ladies?
They're here hiding.
There have been so mny Ottawa area posts lately that I know that they are around. You just need to catch their attention.![]()
I'm just west of Ottawa in a small town that's quickly becoming more like a suburb!
(I'm fine with this as we moved from Centretown to "the country" and had/are still having a bit of a hard time getting used to it!)

Hey Ladies,
I just joined the board...I'm in Deep River.
Welcome to Soulcysters Candice!
I'm in Rockland . . . just doing some research on alternatives to the Fertility Clinic, looking for Ottawa PCOS-friendly doctors! Have a great family doctor but need a specialist, kwim? :-)
I've been seeing Dr. Jain in Ottawa (family physician). He's very PCOS friendly and has been making sure that I get all the referrals to specialists that I need. I also see Dr. Malcom (endo) at the Queensway Carelton and am currently on a verrrrry long waiting list to get into the fertility clinic. Been waiting since december and still haven't even got a call to confirm that they got my referral.
Here is the sticky post for the PCOS friendly doctors. That should help you out: http://www.soulcysters.net/please-po...er-here-51778/
Beylia, I hope you can get into the clinic soon!
re: Dr. Jain - any idea if he's accepting new patients? Or does anyone know of a GP who's accepting new patients? I don't have a GP and haven't been able to find one in four years.(I was able to see doctors through the university but since I graduated in 2003, I've been without.)

I have no idea if he's taking on new patients. I got in with him because he's my mom's doctor and my actual family doctor is an idiot. You could call his office and ask to be put on the waiting list? Finding docs taking on patients is so hard around here. But I would definitely suggest calling up offices and getting your name put on waiting lists or even ask if someone will take you on as a consultation patient. That's technically what I am with Dr. Jain right now because I have a GP here but he's waaaaaaaay better.
Hmm, I've never heard of a "consultation patient"! But good idea. I called a bunch of docs and am on waiting lists ... with no result. Thankfully I have a great gyno who is very PCOS-friendly and who has promised to "take care of me." But she can't help much when I have an ear infection, for example.
Finding a doctor is so frustrating! I have no family here but my fiance's family asked their GPs if we could get in with them, and no luck. Argh.
