PAC is closing its doors! :(

Well, after not getting enough outside help, and especially with teh addition of baby #3, there is no possible way I can keep up with things. I have attempted to have other groups take the PCOS Awareness Campaign Corp (a functioning and valid 501(c)3) in their hands but with no serious follow-through, I have to give it up.

I will leave this out there until teh end of July in case someone wants to help out in a MAJOR way, but otherwise on August 1st I will file with the IRS a dissolution of the non-profit.

I thank all of those who have helped by buying magnets, ribbons, bracelets and were members. We still have magnets & bracelets by the way.. and even a few shirts. I wish the organization would still function... I wanted to see it succeed in teh worst way!

what type of help are you looking for?

well people want to help... I have nothing for them to do because i could handle it all. Website needs to be up to date.... we need to get "speakers" for chats in February. We're down to like zero paid members so not much money coming in.... we need a grant writer to do their magic and hopefully get us some funds so we can function again.. I spent over 3 grand on PAC and got about 2/3 back.. so still short (and keep in mind we dont have much extra money).

We need a lot of help. I mean I have a few people who would still do behind teh scenes board stuff (financials, secretary of meetings, blah blah blah) but its the functioning (beyond mailing out magnets and bracelets) that I cant do anymore.

It's a lot of work for one person.

That being said, if the RIGHT person stepped up and said, I'll get it going, I could hand them a list of people who submitted volunteer submissions wanting to help and the person who stepped up would need a serious commitment of help from people or it would die yet again.

So basically, we need someone to get more people actually involved (instead of I'd liek to help its a good idea, but still does nothing)... with people actually involved things can happen. We started going in the right direction but I dunno, our board has teh worst luck ever! People getting hurt, losing houses, losing jobs, medically sick.. its just been a long tough battle.

Thanks for showing interest Sazzi.. To be honest, with 1 little one and another on teh way... I dont think you personally would give enough time to do what needs to be done because its a lot... but I dont REALLY know you so I cant really say..I just know from experience.

I know I am in school...but I am willing to help...right now I have bought into a grant writer...from a website on line...if you are intersted give me a shout...I will have to find the info again but that won't be hard.

Also...again, I am in school...but I do have some time on the weekends and some week nights to do extra stuff...if you are willing to keep it going I am willing to donate my time...I really hate that PAC isn't going to be...

I also have a friend in Kansas who is a website designer...maybe I can get him in on helping with the website...shoot me an email to let me know if I should contact him...

I would also be willing to step up and contact potential guests for February...and help with getting members and renewing members...

I know what is like to let a dream go...don't give up on yours...it has such potential. I was wondering what was going on...

yeah... I think I gotta keep the place open until all inventory feels so its easier to close for the IRS purposes. So it'll be around. See the link in my siggy.
