Unhappy this is somewhere else im sure

Hi everyone. Well Ive been browsing around trying to find reasons for painful sex and looking at some of the posts that are on here about it. I have recently called my gyno about it and she is no help at all. I just dont know what to do. Its horrible that as young as I am, and as fresh and new as my relationship is, that I cant enjoy sex with the person that I love because of pain. The doctors dont know what is wrong and it just feels like to me that theyre not really trying. i think Im gonna try to make an apt with a new gyno and get some tests run. There HAS TO BE some answers somewhere! what do you girls think?!

okay this may be too personal but are you using condoms? if you are you may be allergic to laytex. i am and have to use lamb skin condoms. they are pricey but...the only time i have to buy them is when i am having an ultrasound done at the doc so the price for me isn't too bad. good luck!

It depends on the kind of pain...I have very extreme pain to the point of not even being able to insert anything, and I've recently discovered something called "vaginismus." It might be something worth looking up, you can find a decent amount of info on a site like wikipedia.

It could also be a cervix problem or endometriosis but again, that depends on where the pain is.

    Good luck!

    Hey yall.
*brokenbabymachine:i dont use condoms, i am allergic to latex also. The man that I am with, I am engaged to and plan on marrying and we've both been tested so... lol

I went and made an appointment to see a doctor because my DBF and I tried to have sex last nite and it hurt so badly that It hardly lasted a minute before i was asking him to stop. I made the earliest appointment that could be made, which is August 7th. i wish I couldve got in there sometime this week or earlier next week but O well.

Im sad and want this fixed and figured out bc next week is our anniversary and Im gonna be so disappointed if i cant have sex...sorry if this is TMI.

*Navi: In response to what you said, I have looked up everything. Some symptoms that Im having match certain things but not to the extreme of what the symptoms are. Im not sure what is going on!
    thanks

This may be really personal, but what type of pain is it and where exactly is it located? Are you using lubrication? Is this a new lube or something you're used to? Could it be an allergy?

Is the pain a burning sensation or a deeper pain? Maybe it's a pain due to vaginal dryness? BCPs can cause changes in cervical mucous which may lead to dryness. Is that a possibility?

WARNING. . .TMI! I personally have suffered from pain down there not from sex but during/after AF. It seems to be related to tampon use. My GYN gave me a script for a steroid cream to soothe the irritation. I have yet to use it though. Could it be related to AF?

Hope things get better! Keep us posted!

Hey again. The pain Im feeling isnt associated with any type of reaction from the use of lubrication. I dont wanna be too TMI on this one lol. I have been having several problems but this is the one that is most severe. I called my doctor a few weeks ago, frightened because I was having some bright red, excessive bleeding for no reason what-so-ever, it would just happen out of the blue. Then Ive been having really bad pain in my lower back where my kidneys are located. Maybe I have more than one thing wrong here.

The pain that Im having feels like its deeper within the vaginal area, if you get what i mean. I tried to have sex last nite but it was just too painful, like I said. I felt a burning sensation, pain upon entry, throbbing(like a bad headache, when u can feel ur pulse, know what i mean?!), piercing pain. I at first thought a yeast infection, but right now i just dont know whats going on. I cant WAIT to go to the dr. to see what they think!

I have pain sometimes with sex. It can be where he first inserts, or sometimes deeper inside, almost like he is hitting something (so this might be from the position). I enjoy sex also, and this is a bit frustrating. I told my new gyno about it on the phone, and I have an appt the 10th. It seems like it takes months to get in with any doc anymore.

I think it can have something to do with pcos. It might also be a sign of HPV, even though you are std free, this might not have been a test that was done. Most of the time when you get a pap, you have to ask for this to be part of it. I would for sure get that checked out, there are meds to take care of it. I am thinking that might be part of my problem, but I will just have to wait and see.

    Good luck.

Have a wonderful new Dr., she is covering every base and I feel safe in her hands.
I start all of my tests next week, will be thinking of them leading to a baby so they will seem worth it.

If you're having back pain, etc...maybe you have a really bad kidney infection. I can actually bleed from those too! And have pain during sex. It can cause fever, chills, headache. I would really suggest maybe seeing a doctor sooner than later. The only reason why I say that is because I just had an Anatomy and Physiology class and my instructor said because the woman's anatomy is all inside and any "yuckies" can get up inside and cause really bad problems. She had one and she was hospitalized with it. Don't want to stress you, but that's what I'm thinking. Maybe you can drink some cranberry juice (w/o any sugars) and see if that helps for the time being.
    Hope it helps.
