Could not post with a Gmail account

Dear Kat,

I had changed my email address in my CP to a gmail address. Once I did that, I could not longer post, nor could I view certain portions of the site (I would get the "your user group does not have permission..." message). In addition, my "mood" at the top wasn't there, all of the things at the bottom of a thread would say "you MAY NOT..." and other small things were missing. I tried emailing to the "pcostories.com" address under "contact us" and it was bounced back. I even tried to reach someone through the pcos.com website. I never received a response.

Anyway, today I had the idea to change my email address back to my old address. After I did so, suddenly everything seems to be back to the way it was before. I was reading the thread about the woman that could not logg in, and I couldn't wait for the answer b/c I felt I was having a similar problem!

I am hoping that things will be okay for now. I would prefer to use my gmail account, but I am afraid to try to change it again. I also wanted to let you know of the problem in case there are other ladies out there with the same dilemma.

Hmm, I don't even know how to trouble shoot that. I don't know why there would be a problem with gmail.

I can reply to this thread but any I answered before.

Kat is currently working on my issue similiar to this. I have a thread titled "User Banned From Everything" and "Banned Issues (luvbug00). I am banned from everything too. In addition to the errors you reference I have noticed I can not respond to a thread I have started or posted in previously.

I have a gmail email address as well. Come to think about I changed my CP account info to reflect my gmail address account and now experience the same errors. I wonder if I can access my CP account now, I will attempt to change my email address and see if that fixed the problems.

If I can't come back and post here I will try to start another thread if changing my email account works. Cross your fingers!

Ok, I changed my email address in both my accounts, ashleysmom00 & luvbug00. I deleted all cookies and offline content, turned my system off, then back on and attempted to log into soul cysters.

Sadly, there is no change I am still banned from chat. In fact the wording advising I am banned comes up immediately with the log in window. I attempt to enter my user name and password but get the repeated message stating I am banned.

Although I am able to reply back to this thread I am not able to reply to the one I created. This is the error I get when attempting to do anything else.

ashleysmom00, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I thought we were on to something. I'm sure it Kat and her team will work it out soon. I do so love this web site.

Which do you think caused the problem?
The Gmail accont OR changing my email address?

Has anyone else had this trouble (ie. with Gmail and/or after changing their email address)?

I use Gmail and have had no problems. Mind you, it wasn't a recent change.

Did you click the link in the confirmation email you received? (It might be in your spam box).

Hi! Thanks for the updated info!

I did click on the email configuration back when I changed my email address.

For now, I am still using my old address. I will wait a few days until you've updated things as you said in your other post.

Your post didn't come up until today. I wonder if that means the problem is fixed? I know how you feel when you want to participate in this message board (b/c there's nowhere else that so many people understand your daily plight!)
