    Default Avocadoes

I can't stop eating them! I have four in my fridge right now, and I know they won't last the week... lol

Anyone know of any good recipes to use them in (besides guacamole)? I'm running out of ideas on different ways to eat them besides just slicing them up and having it on some WW Ritz, or just mashing and eating with a spoon. lol Seriously, I'm in love with them right now...

I love them on almost all my sandwiches, and on burgers, or in salad. I know those aren't really recipes, but I know what you mean, because I crave them too. I usually just eat them plain (with salt and a spoon, lol)

I dont eat them myself but I worked in an avocado packhouse a couple of summers ago. Put them on toast for brekky, add slices to salads. My mum used to make avocado and something muffins - sorry I can't remember what the something was! But I remember that everyone loved them haha

I just made the BEST wrap! I used:

    Whole Wheat tortilla wrap
    1/2 avacado, sliced
    some deli-thin turkey
    slice of colby cheese
about 1/4 c. cottage cheese (1%, small curd)

Sounds weird, I know! It was really, really good though. The cottage cheese gave it a nice boost of protein and made it taste like I actually had some kind of dressing on there. I wanted to put some romaine in too, but I'm all out. I want to try it with some sharp cheddar cheese because I bet that would be good...

I too love avacadoes. I like to take some cooked chicken breast and lightly marinade in italian dressing for a few hours or overnight and place inside the avacado...YUMMY!

I think I have the best guac. recipe in the world

    2 ripe avacadoes
    onion to taste
    jalapeno to taste
    1 T garlic salt
    2 cloves diced garlic
    1 1/2T Lime juice
1T dried cilantro (or 3T fresh)
    dash black pepper
    dash salt
    1/4 c diced tomato

Take one avacado and mash with all ingredients except tomato. Take second avacado and score and put the chunks into the guac, add the tomato and then gently fold together. Let sit for approx. 30 minutes for the flavors to blend, and Ta-da, wonderful guac.

I also love them, I usually mash it up with some lemon juice and a bit of salt, and eat it with crackers. You could cut it and put it in a salad, or make a cold chicken and avocado club sandwhich (had that at a restaurat once)

I have to say your baby is so beautiful, I couldn't focus on reading your post cause I kept looking over at the pics, so cute.

Mashed up with a little salt on sourdough toast. If you like, make it buttered sourdough. Heavenly!!

Dang, that sounds GOOD. Of course, anything with white flour sounds good to me.
