    Default Facial Epilators

HIya everyone hopw you are all well.

I was wondering if you can help.
I have my wedding a months time and after the pain of waxing and years of shaving and creams i finally want to use an epilator for my face so the hair will not grow in on my special day.
Which is the best one to use? and does it really hurt as much as they say it does? and does anyone have any tips?

    Thanks

    Much Love and Blessings
    Suzanne

    Hi there Suzanne!

I have an epilator... and I love it! I've never waxed... but I can't imagine the pain of the epilator is any worse than waxing. I don't think it hurts that bad really. perhaps when you first try it, or first start. but the little bit of pain is totally worth the effect.

One tip is to epilate after a hot shower... sometimes I just hold a hot/wet washcloth under my chin for a while before I do it.

no problem! I bought mine several years ago. I think it's the "Remington Gold"

Really When I started using it, I think I was using it maybe once a week, or once every two weeks for a while... but then my hair started to grow in much finer, and slower so I was down to about once a month or longer.

I have a Braun Silk Epil and it works wonders on my arms! I use it on the sides of my face too...even though the hair there isn't very thick. I tried to use it on my upper lip but it was just too bulky to get around my nose...and it was really painful! I don't know why...I'm used to waxing and plucking that area.

I really want to look into a smaller travel side epilator to use on my lip and brows. I've seen them on drugstore.com and they are relatively inexpensive.

Can't advise about epilator, but wonder whether this is one to discuss with your dbf. In my case, dh atually likes my moustache. He knew from the day we first met that I had moustache growth like a guy. He saw me with a full 24 hours' stubble and it was then that he realized that I must have been a lot older than he would have reckoned from my figure (or rather lack of it) and so he was glad to see the obvious stubble. I'm sure he'd have been very disappointed if I'd got no stubble the morning after our wedding.

I have the Emjoi Optima. It's the best epilator i've ever used but also one of the most expensive i've seen. It is, however, on sale right now from $100 to $67 on drugstore.com.

Any Emjoi epilator is great though. It's the best brand i've found for epilators so far.

I have the Conair Twin epilator. It's pretty small and comes with an attachment for smaller areas. however, it says not to use it on the face. I have done it a few times anyway (do they all suggest no use on the face? I dunno).. and the results were great, but I am not consistent in its use on my face. I am used to waxing and plucking, but on the upper lip area, there was some pain, but I was able to stick it out. It does wonders for large areas... I use it on my legs, fingers, toes, stomach, butt, and lower back.

There is a little emjoi epilator for $20 in bed, bath and beyond for the face. I have been using it for the past 6 months and its amazing. No more messy wax.

^ when do the hairs grow back. And are they like thick and course? How many times do you use like weekly or something?

When I epilate, I don't have to deal with it again for atleast 2 weeks. and yes, the hair is finer.

I use an Emjoi as well. I can't remember the specific name of the one I use, but it's designed for the face and bikini area. I use it on my upper lip and chin, and it works great. The pain was crazy the first couple of times I used it, but you get used to it. It makes me sneeze when I do my upper lip for some reason, but I can tolerate it! Unfortunately it grows back a lot quicker for me than it does for most of you--I use my epilator at least twice per week, sometimes more. If you're going to use an epilator I'd definitely recommend Emjoi products, they are supposed to be the best on the market, and the one that I have used is great.
