My health insurance sucks!!

I live in TX and have BCBS. I just talked to them today and they told me they would cover the diagnostics but anything billed as infertility will be denied.

I have t-19 and they wont cover infertility treatments or testing....I cannot find another insurance who will cover me because i have other pre existing conditions but ive had 4 documented miscarriages already but still no help!
my hubby and i have been doing all possible to keep even one pregnancy but still no luck idk what to do....

I am very upset with insurance companies, they wont pay any of my infertility , only for testing and thats all, it make you give up on all this, I went to dr, to find out why I was bleeding from af off and on now it is still bleeding , but it is getting lighter, that scared the hell out of me she said it pcos doing it thing , well I am tired of pcos doing its thing, sorry guy i am very upset about all this, seen like no one cares about us at all

I'm in FL and our insurance is crap too. I have to do Lovenox shots when we get pg (I've started saying when, not if, trying to be positive!), and before my husband called Aetena we were going to have to pay over $2400 a month for the shots! But we found out we can get the meds through them I guess. I sure hope so anyway. But our insurance doesn't cover any treatments either and any inhouse BW or US we have to pay out of pocket. Just when we thought we had enough for 3 cycles of IUI, after all tests and what not, we are down to 1 maybe 2 cycles. Errr...

I live in CA, and have Kaiser. They cover everything (except for stuff like invitro..sp?). I have all my tests done for free, meds cost $5. With all the crap talk about them, I can't really complain. Heck, my co-pay for any visit (even live birth) is $10. Kaiser is pretty good.

Luckly, I'm on TriCare and so far I haven't had to come out of pocket. However, my husband gets out of the military in Sept, so I am not looking forward to go back on regular insurance.

I can tell you that coming off of military insurance to private insurance sucks BIG TIME. I was a military dependant all of my life (my parents are Air Force), and now I've lost my health insurance because I turned 26. And because the economy is crap where I live I have to pay for my own health insurance. Wonderful....

I have BCBS, I live in WV but it's based out of RI where our corporate company is. We pay HUGE premiums, but after a year of infertility (documented..) IF you are in good healtht hey will pay for testing and X amount on injectibles and other items.

I'm on Tricare because my husband is Active Duty Marine. The other day they changed my dr the day before the appointment, and maybe me think that was it was bad. I am a nurse and I don't know why a insurence company wouldn't pay. In my eyes that is wrong. It isn't like it is an elective boob job or nose job. It is a woman who is desprete for a baby like me. I don't see how you can do that. Good luck ladies.

Heparin is an alternative to Lovenox and cheaper, but you have to do it twice a day, not once a day. Just a thought. :-)

I have Cigna insurance.. My DH's job just switched from BCBS of NC. Well Cigna has a $3000. deductible, well I had an HSG done and they billed the insurance and they paid NOTHING. The insurance applied the $1000 I have to pay out of pocket for this to my deductible.....

i just have to say that all states should mandate infertiltiy issues! i live in florida it doesn't what a bummer!
