Default Anyone sick of vitex questions yet? Heres another!

    Hi there,

Have just been reading through everyones questions on Vitex...now I have my own.

Before tonight I had no Idea what it was!! But having read some articles on the net it sounds great.

What have your experiences been with it?

Can you take it on its own and not in conjucnction with met? etc. (I have never been on met)

Am I able to just walk into a health food store an buy it or do I need a practitioner to get it for me!?

I have never been on met or anything chemical. No period in 10 months!!! Am I able to start it at any time?? As I don;t know where I am in my cycle cause well...I don;t have one!! And I don;t really understand how to do mucous stuff!!!

    Anyway! Thanks for your help!

LOL! Your just like me but the girls will come along Becky and mommy1 come to mind as they know alot. You can take it anytime I would assume, and yes you can get it at GNC or better yet order it on line it's dirt cheap and you get it in like 2 days I did anyway. www.vitacost.com is where I got mine, I used NPC and I am cramping but AF hasnt showed her face and if she doesn't come by Sunday I am forgetting the Soy route and starting the Vitex that day. Hopefully something will happen next month it's a B@#$& waiting on AF I am telling ya! Uh oh my hormones are coming out sorry for the bad word LOL!!!

Yes, Vitex seems to be a hot topic on this board! Hope it means it works well!

You can take Vitex by itself and you can start it anytime you like. When I first started taking it in Dec'05 I started cd38 (I thought it was cd50'ish in another post I answered this question to but I looked it up on my FF account) and got af soon after and then proceeded to ovulate for two cycles in a row. Because I was having a lap done and knew my RE was going to put me on clomid I decided to stop taking Vitex. Now here I am taking it again. This time I started on cd1.

I get my Vitex (Nature's Way brand) at my local health food store. HTH.
