Can you take provera if you are trying to conceive????
Hey everyone i am so confused i wanted to know if you can take provera if you are trying to conceive ?????????? please help im so confused

You are not supposed to take provera if you are currently pregnant, because of an increased risk of certain birth defects. It's okay to take it to bring on your period if you need a little help in that area and are sure you are not pregnant. Progesterone may also be prescribed in early pregnancy to help prevent miscarriage due to low progesterone levels. I think that Prometrium or progesterone suppositories are usually the drugs of choice over provera for that purpose.

2/08- Follistim 75 IU/day...failed cycle
2/11/08- CT scan- Ovarian fibroma on right side.
2/20/08- Bloodwork results indicate possible malignancy. Revised diagnosis: granulosa cell tumor
3/18/08- Right ovary and tube removal; final disgnosis: SCAT tumor
10/15/08- BFP!!! after 32 mos. TTC #1
Betas: #1- 314, #2- 637
EDD 6/23/09-- It's a girl!

but i mean can you take it before you are suppose to take clomid
