    Default sex pain

this might have TMI but with the psts of butt crack experimenting going on... i think i'm just fine with this question lol lol

sometimes when my husband and i have sex i get a pain inside
but heres the weird thing it comes on the right side only - and also happens when in certain positions

a relative of mine was having pain on one side too - and she just was told she had a huuuge cyst on her ovary and thats what was causing the pain

can this be my problem too? i'm confused because some positions i feel gr8 and others are real painful ouchie you know what i mean lol

    love your chubby sister

I'm not really sure but I have the exact same problem. Its sucks because it kinda takes ya out of the mood for the rest of the "event". I'll be checking back to see if anyone else knows if it could be a cyst or what. thanks for postin

Especially when I was younger, certain positions I had sex in really hurt, like a lot. Especially near my mestural cycle it would hurt. It felt like he would hit a wall or hitting something.

Other than that, I really don't know what causes it. I just wanted to let you know that it's the same for me too.

I have the exact same thing. My Dr. says that the pain can be due to cysts.

In my case, I have a 4.5 mm cyst right now on my right ovary. I could have told the Dr. what he was going to see before he did the ultrasound just because of the severe pain I was having on the right side during intercourse. So, I've started back on Metaformin and hopefully it will shrink soon! Because it definately kills the mood...which is NOT productive when TTC!

Thankyou, thankyou so much for this post! This is me entirely! I've even had to forcibly put an end to some sex sessions because there would be too much pain. It's so frustrating because I haven't lost an ounce of my sex drive, yet often it's just too painful to have sex! The question is, is there any way to solve it other than avoid the position that caused the pain in the first place (because for me, once the pain starts it refuses to go away)?

Ha ha! Yes, the drive is so still there...but the pain always wins out! And, yes, once it starts, it doesn't seem to go away.

I've learned a few positions that don't seem to bother it--but even those aren't fail proof. Without giving TMI, I've found that positions that allow me to lay on the side that hurts is typically less painful.

    Good luck!

I spoke to my gyno about this and he said one of my ovarys sits lower than the other so thats why the pain is always only on one side. To quote the gyno directly he said its like a man being hit in the balls repeatedly as apparently the ovarys are equally as sensitive. I often have to get my partner to stop so we can change positions because of the pain. It is worse before and after my period. He suggested pelvic floor excercises to strengthen the muscles around the low ovary.
