    Default Tenuate (Diethylpropion)

My doctor put me on this a month ago (well it was a month Friday-I went in for a check up) and I lost 12 lbs.

I didn't workout the whole month because we got word of a deployment and lots of packing and everything went on.

It dramatically decreased my hunger throughout the ENTIRE day.

I take one pill at 8am. That's it. I don't even get hungry until 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I usually force down a slice of whole wheat bread with light Jelly just to get going in the morning-and to get the good old metabolism going-which I only just found out existed in my body. For lunch I'm not even that hungry so I'll have some fruit or some Tuna salad and by dinner I have a little bit of an appetite but I NEVER finish my meals like I would normally.

I've tried diet pills and all that crap and it never worked. It never made me not hungry and it usually gave me some horrible side affect (jitters, heart racing, etc.) but this one doesn't do any of that.

On a side note-I also take one 500mg metformin with dinner. I hate it, and it makes me nauseous but the doctor said I HAVE to be on something so.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that with you!

Wish me luck! I started March 1st, and have until December to lose it, before he comes home!

I've taken this a couple times and it always works great the first month - but then I stopped losing weight and it seemed like I started to get some of the side effects the second month (heart racing, dry mouth). My dr. told me I could only be on it for up to 12 weeks so I just stopped taking it.

yeah I'm only doing 2 months to 'get a kick start.'
I plan on losing 60 in the next 9 months while my husbands deployed. I want to shock him so we'll see!

    Question Tenuate?

How strange that I was looking for tenuate message boards and it brought me to a PCOS site?? I have had PCOS for years. Been on the met/gluc, also HCTZ to assist with the wt. loss but none seems to work, so my friend told me about Tenuate and I had some questions about if it had worked for others. So you both feel that it is kick starting your weight loss? I am very interested in trying it. My g/f also wants to take it with me so we thought of starting it together and compare how it works for each of us. Are you able to work out on it? Thanks for any info!!
