Default Anyone else a big baby?

I was talking to a fellow PCOSers and she brought up how she was a very large baby (10lb 13oz) and thinks that her mom may have had gestational diabetes when she had her and that may be the root of her PCOS. I was not quite as big, but still large (9lb 11oz). Are there other PCOS ladies who were also very large?

(keep in mind that we are both of irish decent and irish folks seem to have larger babies in general, at least anecdotally.)
    Age 34
    TTC 11/05
    PCOS dx 8/07
    HSG and SA good
    5 rounds clomid (3 w/ IUI) = BFN
Lap 4/3 shows adhesions and scar tissue and endo - oh my! Tubes are damaged.
Surprise break cycle BFP 6/08 = ectopic, left tube ruptured.

nope, I was a tiny baby, only 6lbs 4oz, I was 3 weeks early, but still it would only have been maybe a pound or less difference.

Me neither, although one of my babies ended up being big. I was 5lbs, 12oz and supposedly 2 weeks late, but I think they miscalculated my due date because my mom's cycles weren't real regular (I suspect undiagnosed PCOS, but can't be sure).

My daughter was 6lb, 6oz and my son was 11lb, 7oz- and no GD to cause a big baby. Not sure why he got so big.

Ooooh, I was! I was 10lbs 11 oz and my brother was 13 lbs 7 oz! She also had PCOS and thyroid problems, same as me. My boys were induced 3 wks early and were a couple oz apart at just over 9 and a half lbs. Neither myself or my mother had gestational diabetes though.

I was average (whatever average was back in 1986) and so was my brother (who is skinny and has the rastest metabolism of anyone I know - he is the Anti-PCOS).

My other brother was about 8 or 9 pounds and is the rugby player in the family. He's 15 and well over 6ft tall.

My partner's son was about 10 pounds so I am going to cross my legs and not have his babies!!! haha

Nope. 7lb 7 oz, here. My mother had gestational diabetes with my younger sisters. It was treated with the twins (mother was in hospital for 3 months on bedrest and insulin), who were small and 4 weeks early. Youngest sister, don't think they caught the diabetes, and she was about ten pounds. No PCOS there. I suspect both my older sisters have it, but one was normal and on time and the other was born at 30 weeks, so.

I was 10 lbs 2 oz but most of my siblings were average size. My mom is wondering if she may have un-dx PCOS because my sister was dx in December and my doctor suspects that I have it, she said she did have some trouble conceiving.

Did someone say 13 lb 7oz?! Good LORD!!! That's gotta hurt. My DH was 10 lb6oz and his momma is a size 4. I'm afraid, very afraid to have babies. I was 4 lb 2oz, 8 weeks early, however.

I was 8lbs 6oz and i was 3 weeks early...my mom had to be induced as she is only 5'3" and if i had gotten any bigger she would have had to have a c-section and she didn't want that...so i could have gotten alot bigger...
