    Default New Here!

    Hey all.

Well, my name's Kaela and although I am not recently diagnosed I AM recently out of denial about my need for treatment. I wandered here at my friends advice because he told me to stop complaining and take a pro-active part in my "lady bit problems" as he likes to call it. I think he's actually surfing the forums right now, trying to gather bits of advice for me. lol. I am switching doctors because I was diagnosed when I was a senior in HS and her solution was to switch my BC and then tell me there was nothing else she could do for me. Other than prescribing a cream for the excess body hair.

I only found out this wasn't the case a few months when I acquired a new roomie who immediately picked up on all my symptoms and announced that I would love all the girls at her PCOS support group. I was like whuuu? this exists, and OMG mortified that she could tell. Unfortunately she's no longer living with me so I have kind of lost a little bit of guidance and I'm happy I found such a place!!

Welcome! I love it here and am sure you will too, it never stops amazing me at how many times I'll write something and someone else will have the same problem or I'll read someone elses post and go 'Oh that's exactly like me!' - this forum is such a comfort.
