Default Need help - switching from Yaz back to Aviane (generic Alesse)

After carefully researching and reading the reviews on Yaz, I had my doctor prescribe this to me to prevent further ovarian cysts from forming. I also didn't want the side effects of weight gain and moodiness to affect me either. But I'm on my 2nd month of Yaz, and I've been having lower back aches on my left side ever since I've taken it. I'm thinking of going back to Aviane, but I heard that this bcp doesn't help much with ovarian cysts. What do you ladies think? Is this somewhat accurate? Any advice would be appreciated, before I see my doctor.

    Thanks!

I take a similar BCP called Levora at the moment, and as long as I've been on them I've always taken a levenorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol combination. My ovaries have definitely shrunk, but I've been on them for about 6 years and didn't have giant cysts to begin with. All I can say is try it and find out.

Thanks for your advice on Levora - I'm afraid that the higher amount of estrogen in this is going to make me crazy. But I'll definitely add this to my list and check with my doctor. Thanks again!
