Congrats! That is one good looking kid If I can't have children I want to adopt, probably from Russia because that is where my bf(almost hubby) is from. Family friends adopted 3 little girls from Russia, they are gorgeous little things

I'm still here! I poke in from time to time but not too much posting. We're all doing well. DH is home from Afg. and we are busy getting back in the swing of being a "whole" family again.

My 3 munchkins are growing like weeds. Emily went to Kindergarten screening today. Sniff, sniff, my baby is growing up! In the fall Katie will also be entering preschool so all 3 in school-for part of the day anyway!!

I'm going to swing by your blog later. I'd love to see the photos of Miss Leah. Your avatar pic is adorable!!

I'm here! We're moving so I haven't been online much lately... We're in our apt finally but digging out from under the boxes! Aimee is doing GREAT! She just turned 18 months (still looking for a dr for her...). She's growing like a weed (in 18 month clothes) & learning new things every day!

I'll be back some time in the near future to update more (need to work on our website too) once we get out from under this mess!

I'm still here too! Just got back from vacation in TX to visit my little brother and his family. Isabelle is starting another round of surgeries next Tuesday and the one thing she wanted to do more than anything else was go swimming before surgery, since she'll pretty much not be allowed for the whole summer! So, we decided to go somewhere warm! The kids had a blast and Isabelle has decided she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up (in addition to being a doctor). She got to ride my sister in law's horses and she just fell in love. Poor kid we had to drag her kicking and screaming away from them when it was dinner time! She's still in school though she'll be missing a month or so because of the surgery. She's learning sooo much and she's such a smart girl. She knows all her letters when she sees them and can even recognize some words! She has one of those leapster learning video game systems and she loves to play her Clifford game, which focuses on reading. Yesterday in the car I heard her spell bus and cat! She also loves to sing. Unfortunately, she has some speech problems which I plan to bring up with the doctor this week, which make singing pretty difficult. She tends to skip over whole words or parts of words when she's talking. For example, "I don't feel good today" is "I not food today". Just recently she's started to stutter too, so we're definitely going to have a talk with the doc... unfortunately, with surgery coming up, it'll be a while before we can even take her for an eval
Sam is 4.5 going on 17. He doesn't want to do little boy things, he wants to be a big boy. He prefers my PSP to his Leapster, he gets mad when we say he's too little for skateboard lessons, he's gone through 3 girlfriends at school this year, one of whom he swears he KISSED, he wants a tattoo, he wants to know how old he has to be before I'll let him play my RPG video games, and he thinks he could drive our car if we'd just move the peddles closer! Oy!

Oh, I forgot to add that Sam is currently campaigning for a baby! He thinks if he just demands it enough, one will appear. Recently he stood in the kitchen and said "Mom, I really want a baby brother." "I know Sam, but you just can't have one right now." *Sam stomps his foot and glares at me* "BUT I WANT ONE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!"
    yeesh!
I am working on insurance requirements for gastric bypass surgery. No more kids at least until that's over, then we thought we might give the bio thing a go since so many cysters get fertile after the surgery. If not, then who knows what's next for us.. but I know one thing.. I can't produce baby brothers on demand!

Wow, it never even occurred to me that the Dr. might say no. Mine seems kind of reluctant about it, but I think it's mostly cause he's a big guy, same BMI as me actually, and he doesn't like to think about the whole weight issue. I originally wanted the Lap Band, but they told me it's really only effective up to a BMI of 45 and mine is 50.7. The surgeon I'm going to is really good though, and he's got super low complication rates and no mortalities in over 10 years of practice. It's funny cause I was reading the stuff from my insurance company that they use to justify what they will and won't pay for and their prerequisites, and they actually quote a lot of my surgeon's papers!

I think I want to look in to Lap Band (since everyone else is sharing-my BMI is 39), then we'll TTC again. I've literally tried everything to lose weight & it's just not working...

Of course, I have to make DH tell HR that we're in MA now (he's holding out b/c he doesn't like paying state tax...there's none in TX...) before we even go to the dr since we still have TX insurance (have to do it soon b/c Aimee is late for her 18 month appt already!).

We're alive & alive...LOL My MIL has been w/ us since we moved on the 31st & I've about crazy! It's HARD moving not only to a different state but from a 3300 sq ft house to a (less than) 900 sq ft apt! Aimee is good. She's been adjusting well. We had another tough night last night b/c DH went to the casino (a poker buddy from TX was in CT so they met there). I don't think Aimee thought she would see DH again so she was having nightmares all night, woke @ 2:30AM & was up screaming for an hour (just like she did the 3weeks that we were here w/o DH). We'll start getting back to normal & in some routine on Wednesday though (MIL is leaving tomorrow)!
