Default Finally got my Diagnosis...By Letter!

Well, after waiting 2.5 weeks for my lab work to come back I got my answer. So a week and a half ago I call the Dr. and the nurse says that as soon as they get my labs back, the dr will sign off on them and they will contact me by letter, or by phone. If my results are normal, they will send the letter. So I wait another week. Call back, leave a message for a returned call....Nothing....no return call. So today, I get my letter and I think to myself..."really, a letter, must be normal, which means that this is ALL IN MY HEAD!!!!!!!" I am kinda dissappointed that I dont have an answer to my issues. So, I open the letter.
    Paraphrased
    Dear Mrs Watson,
We have tried to contact you multiple times at the phone number 1-555-555-5555 and we can not get the call to go through. I am writing you this letter to let you know that your lab work does indicate Polycystic ovarian syndrome. Please contact our office ASAP to discuss the treatment options we talked about at your visit. Bla bla bla,
    Sincerely
    Dr. Bla Bla

WOW...I am NOT CRAZY! IT IS NOT ALL IN MY HEAD...so Now...why cant my Dr. office call me?!?!?? LOL I was sooooo mad at them because even a month before I had called and left a message for a returned call with no response. ONly thing I can figure out is that I live in a central location where I can call 3 different area codes without putting a 1 in front. Maybe the nurse doesnt know that she didnt need the 1 and it wouldnt go through..so this means that next week I'll be calling 1,000 times trying to catch the nurse while she is by the phone. Fun Stuff......
    Thought I would share...

It is comforting to finally have a diagnosis. I never thought I would get mine.

Kind of funny to have a diagnosis by letter, I do not understand why they could not reach you by phone number....

How long have you had PCOS symptoms?

Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.

    Wishing you good health.
    Bless you,
    Shari

I've had PCOS symptoms since forever I guess..I just didnt know it. Then it was disguised for a few years when I was on BCP's. I only realized something was wrong after I had my DD and my Period came when I was BF'ing, and stopped after! Go figure! lol Same exact thing happened after having DS.
I think that the reason the nurse couldnt get the call to go through is because you dont have to dial a 1 before the rest of my number, its not actually long distance but we are in different area codes. So maybe if she would have left off the 1 the call would go through..although that seems pretty ditzy...I guess like I said I'll just have to call 1000 times next week till she picks up since they cant get a call through to me...either that, or I'll give them my cell number in a message and just stay in town all day ( I live in the middle of nowhere with NO cell service)
