    Default Finally AF after m/c...

I finally got af today since the april 21 m/c... I was wondering and waiting and today I'm finally on cd1. I'm so happy to have a starting point to chart my cd's. I think it's more breakthrough bleeding than a real period because it didn't start until I drank a few soy based protein shakes...still.. I'm happy!!

no... I'm going to take a one month supply of bcp for June and then for July start with my herb combo that I've used in the past with my DD and DS.... with my DS I took a one month supply of bcp first ... then the herbs...before I conceived him.

    Hi,

I have finally got my period as well after a miscarriage in April. Just one question my period seems to be only "break thro" bleeding as well, will this actually become heavier????

Its so strange to say and I am sure others have as well that, I have never been so happy to see a period in all my life.

I am going to try again this month and purchased the clear blue fertility monitor just to make sure I am ovalating etc this is why I asked if the bleeding will become heavier as I have actually pressed the button today as being the first day of my period but its not a heavy flow etc

pinklady380, It finally did after one day... at first is was very light and I was concerned that it wasn't a true af but I'm on CD4 with moderate to heavy bleeding and terrible cramping...since taking the bcp this cycle I did notice the flow today slowing up and no pain...

    Hi, me again!!!!

Well Im still only spotting, well I say spotting, its there when I wipe (sorry TMI) but what is going onto the towel is not worth talking about. It is also very light in colour. Not sure if this is a true period or not. Did look up on the net and it states first af after miscarriage can be either heavy or light so I hope this is my first one. I did ovalate a couple of weeks ago and there was no mistakening it with CM etc. Maybe next month will bring a more heavier flow. Before miscarraige I was always very heavy so this is all a bit strange to me at the moment.

I bet if you use a little NPC...maybe one or two days and then stop your flow will come in.. if that's what you want!! If you want it heavier... I bet it will help.

I had an ectopic removed April 23rd and still no AF. Last Friday, dr said to wait 2 more weeks if nothing then call her. I had EXCM during the same exam and was dry earlier this week. I want AF to come so I can start the BCPs to have my HSG completed.
    Good luck to everyone!

How soon after a miscarriage can you start TTC again? I had a miscarriage on May 12, '08 and my RE won't let me try another cycle of clomid/IUI for 2 more periods! I got my period 2 days, 33 days after the m/c and I think I'm going to still try - soy for the 1st time and charting temps, cervical fluid and position. The RE says that if you try too soon after a m/c there is an increased chance of repeat m/c and low birth wt, etc. Have any of you ever heard this? It is kind of discouraging b/c I think this is controversial and there are other doctors out there that would allow cycles after m/c.

    hi there,

I had a missed miscarrige in April I was 13 weeks pregnant but baby died at 8.5 weeks.

I was never told anything but I was going to try straight away but at the last minute decided not to. I am glad I waited as my first period after miscarriage was pathectic to say the least very very light for 6 days or so, basically it was only there when I wiped which in turn got me thinking hmmmmm obviously lining in the uterus had not built up. I was going to try again this month but thought twice again about it and said I would wait to see if this period will be any heavier. I have always had heavy periods before the m/c.

So I am glad I held off cause in my situation I honestly dont think my womb would have been ready.

Sorry I cant help anymore. I heard its more of an emotional factor that they tell you to wait but I am now starting to doubt this after seeing my first period.

I believe that if you're not that far along you could count your m/c as af and start again but if you were...I'd say 10/12 weeks along i would wait at least one or two cycles...In my case I was 7 weeks along and the next month I started bcp for one month (I have one full week of pills left and next month - July, I'm going to try again to conceive.
