Default Do you think I'm hypothyroid?

    Hi,

I'm having a hard time deciding whether some symptoms I'm having are PCOS or possible hypothyroidism. I'll list them:

    - BBT ranges between 96.8 and 97.4
    - Cold hands and feet
    - Very irregular periods (I'm currently getting them every 2 or 3 weeks and they are very very heavy and last 12 days or so)
    - Always feeling tired

In 2004 my TSH was 2.1. A few weeks ago it was 3.3. I've also gained 30lb since 2004.

    I'm TTC.

    Any input?

    Thanks x

If you know what your TSH is, what did the doctor tell you? You might be low but normal , that's what I was for years and in Nov I was told I needed to take Synthroid medication.

Talk to your doc. I am now at a tsh of .40 and feel better. Some feel better with a lower tsh. Have you brought this up to your doctor?

They all can be symptoms of hypothyroidism. Did they check you for antibodies? I have hashimoto's and am not the only one who feels better with a low tsh. I would still tell your doctor that you are feeling like this. If he/she won't help you try getting a second opinoin. What was the range of the test?

TSH alone doesn't paint the whole picture. You need Free T3, Free T4, TPO Ab and TG Ab tested.
