Thread: PLEASE HELP!!! Possibly having a miscarriage?

  1. #1

Question PLEASE HELP!!! Possibly having a miscarriage?

I am only about two weeks along (I was really on top of it with testing for ovulation and then I tested for pregnancy a little early but JUST late enough for the test to pick it up).

I've been bleeding since Monday. It started out very, very light - brown or pinkish brown. It has been picking up more and more until today it was enough to get on my panties...and it got deep red. Now it's light and brown again.

My OB/GYN said it's a little early for a miscarriage and suggested that it might be implantation bleeding. I'm not in any pain...just a little nauseous and sleepy. I'm not really cramping and my back doesn't hurt. The only "cramping" I've gotten is gas cramping. I'll feel it coming on and I'll think, "this is it...the cramping with the bleeding equals miscarriage," but then I just poot and it's over LOL

The doctor had blood drawn today to check for HCG levels. I'm going to go to my regular doctor on Saturday to have it done also, then back to the OB/GYN on Monday to have it tested again. That way I'll have 3 tests to compare with to see which direction my HCG levels are going in.

Until Tuesday, I'm freaking out. Has anyone had an early miscarriage without pain? Are these the signs of an early miscarriage and the pain is yet to come? Or is this "normal" for someone who has PCOS and Endometriosis?

I'm sorry for being paranoid...I just need a little hope or I need to start preparing myself if this is going to end badly.

I know it's silly but I've been begging the baby to just...stay put!

I sounds like to me it is a chemical pregnancy. That the egg and sperm got together, but it didnt implant. usually with those, it is just a heavier af and most woman dont even know they are pregnant. Af is just a day or two late and is a little heavier.

Hopefully everything is fine and your numbers are rising the way they are suppose to.

But this is nothing like AF...AF is usually heavy for me, and this has only been enough to get on my panties once. Otherwise, it's a light streak when wiping and that's it.

I had bleeding like that from 7 to 11 weeks. Mostly brown and pink spotting (not enough to get into panties) and then it changed to deep red flow at 10 weeks. However, everything is fine and I am 16w pregnant with no further problems.

Try to wait on the blood work and take it easy. As early as it is right now, it's hard to know exactly what is going on.

    Default just hang in there

Hi, please dont panic. Just hang in there... think positive, and do NOT rush into hasty decisions!
Ive been reading through several other forums to find out information about HCG levels dropping during early pregnancy and especially about Drs who keep recommending getting D & C just because they can't find a heartbeat or a missing embyo. I recently found an article that really shocked me, it was about a couple who was told to get a D & C just because of a missing heartbeat. Luckily they refused, went to a 2nd opinion, and the 2nd Dr found a healthy baby with a healthy heartbeat! Just think, they could have killed their baby just because of the 1st dr being very ignorant. Scary! PLEASE DO NOT RUSH INTO D&C, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OR THIRD OPINIONS! and it's better off to miscarriage naturally, not through D&C. Did you know in Canada the D & C are not allowed.... they encourage the patient to go through the natural miscarriage process.
Now, My son happily announced his girlfriend's pregnancy the day after Christmas. We were all so thrilled and happy. However, today, my son announced the HCG levels were dropping...and Dr wants to do a D & C already! That's tooo soon ...... I advised them to get a SECOND OPINION.... as Ive read elsewhere that a woman had declining HCG levels and still had a healthy baby! Im shocked at our American Doctors who jump to conclusions too quickly.... So please think twice before rushing into any unnecessary decisions just because the Dr told you to...
Please pray that my son's baby will be okay.... sure could use that..

9 DPO...which is a bit early for implantation bleeding, but my OB said that I also ovulated a few days early so it might be linked.

However, isn't implantation bleeding more like spotting? In the beginning, it was brown and pink so I was OK with it, but it's gotten deep red and now it's pink again. Also, it's been going on since the 19th so that makes this day 5. I went to my family doctor on the 20th and at that time it wasn't really a concern because it was more like light spotting...but now it's a bit worse.

I stayed home yesterday and it slowed down a bit...like today I didn't get it on my panties, but I did go to the bathroom hourly to check and there was always some blood. Sometimes red, sometimes pink.

ALSO - I got my hCG level results back. I'm at a 12. At first that scared the crap out of me, but after reading into it that's actually not an awful number for how early this pregnancy is right now. I'm having my blood tested again tomorrow and again on Monday so we'll see if the number goes up or down!

I will definitely pray for your grandbaby!

I'm not rushing into a D&C at all. I'd prefer that if I miscarry, I let it go naturally. My OB also is not pushing a D&C - he said he would only recommend it if I begin to hemorrhage, which would indicate ectopic pregnancy.

My SIL had implantation bleeding at 6 DPO or so. I don't think 9 DPO is too early. And it can be red blood. Also, it could be cervical irritation.

Stacie, there are only a handful of people helping me keep my hopes up in all of this. You're one of them - thank you.

Implantation bleeding occurs due to implantation. Implantation can occur from 6 to 12 days past ovulation.

Evabear-----Don't give up on this pregnancy yet.....When I got pregnant and had my m/c I started spotting bright red and slimy/mucusy discharge at about 6 weeks and it was very painful but it would just slime from my toot toot (LOL) to the TP like pink/red snot. I had a couple of u/s just to make sure that it was not viable and then I went home and m/c on my own it was very heartbreaking and painful even though I have known people to m/c without any pain (this is very unusal). But when I got pregnant the second time it started all over again the day after I got the BFP I started spotting and I decided I wasn't going to the Dr. because they would just tell me to go home and wait out the m/c just like last time. But I just continued to bleed sometimes enough to wear a pad and change it during the day. Sometimes it would be red/pink/brown I bled through week 10 and then I noticed it stopped so I thought I had what is called a silient m/c. I did not want to set up infection and I new that the fetus had to come out some how and it did 30 weeks later a happy healthy little girl. When I finally went to the Dr. expecting the worse they did my first u/s and there it was 10 weeks and 5 days bouncing fetus with little legs and arms and a 164 HB. I was super SHOCKED I went prepared for a D&C. What a miracle!!! I give God the Glory!!!! I know lots of people who spot and even bleed through out thier entire pregnancy. So just hang in there and try not to worry. I know this is not easy!!!!

Also---not everyone agrees with a natural m/c but I do and my ob said it is better for your body if you can do it naturally. I know sometimes it is not better for your mind. Just a thought. Everyone is different you just have to do what is right for you.

Haven't gotten my second beta back yet...I only had it drawn today lol
I'll have my second and third (having it drawn on Monday) results back on Tuesday.

I'll probably have a lot of questions that my doctor doesn't have time to answer so I'll definitely post here the moment I have results!! 12 is the number to beat! (DH and I have been saying that today...trying our hardest to stay positive and hopeful!)
