Default newbie question...is anyone charting Mucus only and not temping?

    Hi everyone...
I'm just wondering if anyone is charting their mucus only and not do temperatures. I have been reading and jumping on the threads for quite sometime and mostly everyone is charting by temps. My dr showed me the creigton model and I wanted to know if there has been any success in pin pointing your O by observing mucus only or do I need to get started taking my temps.

    Thanks....

I have only been using my cm to chart for the last eight months, but after talking with some of the ladies on the board lately, it seems like it is better to temp and do cm... I am bad at waking up in the morning and taking my temperature, but you know the saying... "desperate times call for desperate measures" I am going to try temping next cycle.

Qwerty - I chart both temps and cm using the fertility friend website. I have been able to very accurately pin point my O that way. When I started I was hap hazard in taking my temps - like I didn't do it at the same time each day. Then I started setting my alarm for 2 hours before I normally wake up. I temp, and fall back asleep. My thermometer saves up to five temps, so if I forget my temp by the time I wake up it is recorded in the thermometer. I think temp charting is much easier than cm charting as cm can be ambiguous.

Qmamma, that's a cute pix of your dog, I love dogs! Doggy loving aside, I bought a Basal body thermometer last time, as i was reading this is the type of therm I need for charting... questions is...where do i stick it to get a proper, accurate reading? Armpit? mouth? Va-j-j?

Thanks! That's a picture of Q - my only baby right now. I temp orally and haven't had an issue with accuracy. It is also the easiest place to wake up and use a thermometer without having to wake all the way up KWIM? Good Luck!
