Default Starting Clomid on Monday... but I'm confused!

I took provera May 27-31. Normally, AF would come three days after (June 3). The first few times I used provera, AF was heavier than ever. Last month, it was light (the same as when I O on my own), but this time it is barely here. I normally do not have any other symptoms (with the exception of moodiness and the occasional minor cramp), but this month with the barely there AF, my breasts are extremely tender... it's driving me nuts!

I am supposed to start my first round of clomid this month (5-9)... but I'm wondering if there is something else going on since the Provera isn't acting like it normally does.

Has anyone else had varying degrees of AF with provera? Should I still start the clomid on day 5 from when the extremely light AF started this?

Before we started TTC, everything was fine... until the month after we consciously began to try... then the PCOS reared its head for the first time. My fear is that now that we're going to start using the Clomid, something else is going to pop up to but a roadblock in our way...

First, I would advice you to take a HPT as a precaution... since it was really light, and you don't want to risk taking Clomid if there is any chance of being pregnant.

Second, my AFs always varied. It just depended on how long it was since the last AF. The longer I waited for the Provera or Prometrium, the heavier the AF was. That seemed to be the only difference for me. Did you take it sooner in your cycle than normal this time?

As for the symptoms, that really does vary I think. Even with Provera. After countless cycles of using it, it eventually started making me nauseous.

The other possible thing would be estrogen levels. During the follicular phase the body produces estrogen which builds the lining up, not enough estrogen means the lining would be thin. Progesterone also builds up the lining a little bit, but you were on Provera so that has been taken out of the equation and given synthetically... so I doubt it has to do anything with that. The estrogen is more likely, if it's the the aforementioned possibility of taking it sooner than normal...

Hope you get it figured out soon, and that your clomid cycle works out.
    Best wishes.
