Default Has anyone gone through a stillbirth?

    Hi...

Just wondering if there's anyone out there who has experienced a stillbirth. I had one in 2006 and it is still hard to this very day. I was 38 almost 39 weeks. On top of infertility this has got to be the hardest thing I've gone through in my life.

My baby was born still born, but he was only 22 weeks and delivered due to incompetent cervix. I cant imagine being in your shoes and carrying the baby that much longer as I was already so much in love at that 22 weeks.

All I can say is *hugs* and that I'm thinking and praying for you. Sometimes it seems like a sick joke that we tried for eight years, made a baby and lost him.

You aren't alone out there sweetie. Feel free to vent, rant, or just sit back and read. I don't think the pain and feelings of loss ever go away no matter how long.

Maya was born still at 24 weeks and like Tammy mentioned--I cant imagine being 38-39 weeks like you were. May your little one rest in peace. People say that time heals -- I'm still waiting for the healing time, which I figure will never happen. Maya will live in our hearts forever, just like your little one will live in your hears. Our daughter was born still this June, at almost 34 weeks. It appeared to be an umbilical cord accident. I am heartbroken and still taking it one day at a time. I do believe people when they say I won't always feel like I do now, but I also know this is something that will always stay with me. So what you wrote makes perfect sense to me.

I'm so sorry for your loss and may your little one rest in peace.

Hello I also lost a daughter in 2006 due to a stillbirth. I was 35 weeks. I went into preterm labor at 34 weeks and they wouldn't deliver her. I also lost another baby in 2007 due to a tubal pregnancy. I was 8 weeks along. I have one living child named Daniel. He is six. His sisters name was Abigail Delaina. To this day I still long for another baby. I had my son at 32 weeks so he is our miracle baby. I found out I had PCOS in 2007 after I switched doctors. I am looking for a specialist right now cause we want to try again. I am in Indiana. I am very sorry for every one's loss. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I haven't personally, but my heart goes out to you.

My niece was stillborn at 41 weeks. It's been eleven years, but I still think about her, I still cry about her death, and I make sure I support my sister on the anniversary of her birth and anytime she needs to just talk.

I can never completely feel the pain she felt, but I feel my own version- she lost her daughter, I lost my niece- and we both loved her, although my sister knew her more intimately than anyone else could ever possibly know her. I know that it was hard for her, the way the family seemed to just move on- but even those that seemed to, didn't really- they just didn't know how to show it, too afraid to tell my sister how they felt. They were too afraid to lay their own grief upon hers, I think. Me- I was just a confused 14 year old who had just had my first experience with death, of any kind at all.

Even after eleven years, we still think about her. We still love her. My sister still keeps her ashes on the mantle, and her picture on the wall. She has her place in their house, just as she has a place in our hearts. Grieving, and loving, go hand in hand- and they go on and on.

My thoughts are with you, you are not alone in all this. Many (*hugs*)

I lost my son @ 20 weeks and he was born still. My heart goes out to you. What has really helped me has been blogging about it. There is a wonderful, supportive community of other mom's blogging about their experiences with stillbirth and pregnancy loss. If you click on my son's name in my siggy it will take you to my blog. On the right hand side are links to many other blogs by women who have lost their babies too.

I'm so sorry you had to experience this. No one should ever have too. ((HUGS))
