    Default Freaking out & Confused!!

    Hello All!

I am 27 years old and just found I have PCOS My husband and I have been trying for a baby for about 5 years and I just recently went to the gyno to find out what is wrong me! I have put off going due to no insurance... A friend told me about this website and I thought I would check it out. Im looking for advice, courage, and new friendships. Im having a hard time dealing with the fact I might not have children! The doctor has me on 3x day 1500 mg of Glumetza. So far no side effects but I only been on it for 2 weeks. Has anyone else taken this drug before? Has it helped?

Looking foward to being apart of this group,
    Brittany

    Hi Brittany,

I am 26 years old and been trying to get pregnant for 5 years now. Diagnosed with PCOS in early 2008. I had an unsuccessful HSG and a laproscopic procedure where I had a polyp on my uterus which was removed. Still I have not got pregnant. I have also taken several rounds of fertility pills. I do not know the pill you are taking but I do know that I took Metformin and it made me veryyy sick.

But I know how you feel. It's very frustrating. I dont know if this will help you, but I am hoping it will help me. It is this book called The Glycemic Load Diet and in it, it talks about PCOS. With this diet, its suppose to help you get over PCOS (caused by insulin resistance) and will help fertility. The book really inspired me. I hope and pray it works.

I hope this website gives me encouragment as I have recently joined as well.

Welcome Ladies! I know how it is trying for years on end!!! I'm right there with you! Sounds a little corny but might I suggest you look into d-chiro-inositol (DCI) I recently found it myself and LOVE it!!! You guys are going to fall in love with SoulCysters if you haven't already! There are soooo many nice women on here and so easy to talk to about any/everything because there is ALWAYS someone who has gone through what you are going through and will give advice or just be there for support. Extended release just means it doesn't hit your stomach and disolve. It disolves and is absorbed over an extended time.
