Red face Movies you wouldn't expect infertility to be a topic...

Sorry to make another thread, I've been thinking about this since Monday..

We went to see The Time Travelers wife at the theatre last Monday. Theatre was really dead except maybe 3 other people. Anyways, this might be a spoiler for those who haven't seen it...but the numerous miscarriage thing really jumped out at me, had me in tears..ok SOBBING loudly..until Alba was finally born...I loved this movie but I was NOT, at all, expecting that..Any other movies with hidden agendas (hehe) that come to mind just so I'm a little forewarned..?

Another one, I can't think of the name of it but theres another one...They tell her she doesn't have a son, when she knows she does..and all of her scrap books and videos are empty and they make it seem like she had a phantom pregnancy/baby...

I cannot think of any movies, but man I will have to wait until that is out of the theater.... because I know I would look really ridiculous in the theatre.

I'm not sure about other movies really either, but I saw the movie this weekend. I read the book a few weeks ago, and it was amazing, considerably better than the movie, though I liked the movie (and the book is always better, so I expected that.) In the book I think she actually had 7 miscarriages (think). It was very very good, and I cried during that part more than anyone else too. But, you can still go now, everyone was crying at the end, so it didn't matter.

The animated Disney movie UP. Holy crap, like the first bit of the movie had me on the verge of either bawling loudly or running out of the theater. I did such a good job of keeping the tears silent that it physically hurt. And then of course I thought about it for the whole movie.

I thought 'Up' was SO good, one of the best Pixar has ever done. Of course, incredibly sad in the beginning, but... so good!

I agree, it was wonderful. Especially in 3D, it was like an amusement park ride. At the beginning I was thinking "What? How did infertility find me here? How did they know? Those baxtards!"

I watched The Time Traveler's Wife also and the scene in which she explains to her husband why she wants a biological child rather than to adopt - that is EXACTLY how I feel. That was the first time the waterworks started...

Yeah, seriously. I was crying my freaking brains out. The theater we were in was packed, too. It was so ridiculously emotional.

UP got my DH crying. Those first 15 minutes were SOOOO emotional for us.
Another one that lightly touches it is Julie and Julia. When she gets a letter from her just married sister that her sister is pg it's such a sad and touching scene between her and her husband.
