Congratulations! How long were you trying before you conceived? Were you on any meds? My husband and I are on our 2nd round of clomid and so far, I haven't been able to ovulate.

    Hello Kmj-

I was on my third month of Femara when I conceived (two months of 2.5mg and one month of 5mg) plus 500 mg of Metformin. This was the second time I had conceived. The first time I was on my fourth month of Femara (two months of 5mg) and 500 Metformin, but that one ended in m/c. I did not try Clomid because Femara doesn't dry you out as much as Clomid does. Sometimes I would ovulate on 2.5mg of Femara but not always so I was able to move up to 5mgs. Hope that info helps. I have a sonogram on Wed. I'll be eight weeks along. Hopefully there will be a heartbeat this time

Talking Thin cyster just entered 2nd trimester

I'm still waiting to see my OB to find out just how far along I am. It was a complete shock to me finding out about the pregnancy. We were not trying at all, and I had just found out that I had PCOS and my husband's sperm count was low. So I guess we were really lucky.

    Congrats, dafjam and mandi!

I just got a BFP 10/3, but have to wait until 11/2 for my first ob visit and ultrasound. I actually was only on metformin and used preseed this time (vs. clomid + trigger + IUI) for my DD, so this is being treated as somewhat more of a "normal" pregnancy - no extra visits to the RE and early u/s for me this time around.

There is a thin expecting cysters thread in the pregnancy buddies section, if you are interested in joining that. I will probably wait until my u/s to join any expecting threads.

Happy & healthy 9 months to you!

Smile I'm in my first trimester too!

    Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd write to let you know that I have just hit 10 weeks. I fell pregnant on my second round of clomid... I had a scan at 8 weeks and all seemed to be okay, a heart beat was detected and am now hanging out for my 12 week scan and first appointment with my obstetrician. It's been kind of nerve wracking not knowing what to expect and just praying everything progresses along properly. I have just learnt to not compare myself to other pregnant woman, as we are all different!

Good luck to everyone TTC - it will happen! I was shocked it happened so soon, but super excited!

I just got my BFP on 11/17/09, had blood test on 11/22/09 to confirm I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. I am very nervous about it sticking and the higher rates of miscarriage among women with PCOS. I took Clomid 50mg days 4-8, Met 1500mg daily, HCG trigger, and IUI. Prometrium 200mg suppositories every night. First cycle and it worked! I will continue with Met and Prometrium as they greatly reduce risk of miscarriage.

    Me-29, PCOS, BMI 23
    DH-26, perfect
    11/4/09- 1st IUI
    11/17/09- BFP

I'm in my first trimester... haven't even gotten my hcg levels to find out how far along I am.

    We started ttc last year
We did 3 cycles of clomid, starting at 50mg and going up to 150mg. I was just about to quite for the holidays when I took a hpt and got a positive.

Here's to hoping that all who are ttc get bfp

Congrats! I'm 18 weeks now and loving the second trimester!
    7/2005 -- TTC
    2/2006 -- Diagnosed PCOS
    5/2006 -- Tried clomid @ 100 & 150 mg. 2 BFN's.
    1/2007 -- Began seeing a NUCCA chiropractor.

    7/2/2007 -- BFP!
    2/2008 -- DD born.
    ____

    1/2009 -- NUCCA chiro appt
    2/2009 -- BFP!
    3/2009 -- mc
    7/2009 -- NUCCA chiro appt
    8/2009 -- BFP!

As you can see, my NUCCA chiro has a great track record with me. I always conceive the cycle following a correction. I never had a regular cycle until I saw him and following the vitamin regimen.
