I thought id start this thread for any of us UK ladies who are ttc, and might like to have a little support in the process. There are lots of ttc threads but other countries have different views of medication, etc so i thought we could make our own little group, somewhere we can come and rant if we need too, and let each other know how its going, maybe even make a few new friends!!!!!!

(Eva - If theres already a UK ttc buddies thread, i may have missed it, please just delete this honey xxxx much love lady xxxx)

    Ok il start with me:-

My names Dani, Im 27 years old. I had my daughter when i was 16 (i know i know) but none since. i have been ttc again for so many years now i lose count!
The doctors spent years telling me that i was young so no need to worry because i hadnt fallen pregnant! Finally after 4 years of trying they decided there was something wrong and sent me for a scan and blood tests that confirmed i had PCOS. No one explained anything, just gave me metformin and sent me on my way.
After many more years when nothing was working they tried clomid, still nothing, then they sent me for ovarian drilling, and more clomid,(and with a lot of help from my SC friends) which resulted in one BFP back in april.
Sadly i lost the baby at 12 weeks (after a few times asking the doctor for progesterone incase mine was too low, which i was told they dont prescribe here in the uk!!!) and we are back ttc again!!! It appears though the clomid isnt working as i dont think iv Od this month, although im waiting on my temps to confirm it xxx

Thats roughly me......so i loook forward to meeting any more ladies from around who are ttc xxxxxxxxx

Hi I have been ttc for 6 years now and recently moved onto IVF after wasting years with the NHS and Injections/IUI. We are planning 3 private cycles and if no sucess then we will move on. To be honest we really just need some sort of closure to it all now

Im not ttc yet as im still at uni, so for now im concentrating on losing weight for when me and DBF decide the time is right to start ttc. At least this way if i need treatments such as clomid, iui or even ivf, i hopefully shouldnt be stopped by the weight barrier or at least well on my way to smashing it. So if you ladies dont mind, i wouldnt mind following this thread and watching your journeys as they progress and hopefully offering support to us all.

Thats all from me for now, come on ladies i know there are more of us out there, where are you all !!!

Lil Miss Buttons Welcome and ur doing the sensible thing about watching ur weight now before u ttc. I had to loose 1 and half stones to start infertilty meds although woith the meds i put that straight back on and more, must have gained a good 3 stone due to fertilty meds

Kentbird whats the latest with you. Im just finished IVF last week although I overstimmed badly and couldnt have my embryo trasnfer so I have 2 frozen embryos but waiting untill Jan as need to loose some weight etc

Pina - good luck for january!!! Hope the losing weight thing isnt too hard, although your ticker looks good!!! The losing weight thing sucks lol, i lost it all, fell pregnant, lost the baby but kept the bloody weight!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr lol!!!
Do you ever get to the point where you want to give up? Im having one of those weeks! I was o excited back in may when i got my bfp, i thought well least we know the clomid working, but now its not, i took the same amount as last time and nothing, no ovulation and it doesnt look like af is coming anytime soon. So i see myself asking, after 9 years and still here, maybe i should just move on. I should count myself lucky i have a beautiful young lady, some people dont even have that. I dont know. Its such a big thing to give up on, but i only have like 1 go at clomid left, (unless the doc feels like being nice and gives me another go) and after that then theres nothing as thats all they say i can try!!!! having a sad day xxx Il be back to my usal cheery self tomorrow hopefully xxxxxxxxxx

Aw I know the feeling, thats 6 years now for us ttc and feel like im wasting my time. Did fall pregnant but miscarried and just wonder why life can be so cruel. Feel like I need to give up to try and get closure but cant give up without having a baby. The pressure is hard we never book holidays etc "incase we are doing fertility meds" or scared to book in advance incase i end up pregnant but I never ever do

Have you thought about going private? We have just recently went private after so much hassles with the NHS. The care was really poor and they wernt prepared to do anything diffrent and kept badly overstimming me which is dangerous so after getting messed around all these years we went private

Im the other way round, i ve only ever taken my met after meals, i ve never tried before meals,

when u go on clomid if you need it, its likely and maybe even better if you stay on metformin as they success rate with clomid and metformin is higher than clomid on its own.

I ve had lots of friends tell me that they are pregnant this week, yes ok they are fellow pcosers so im really happy for them, but it just makes it feel like its gonna be even longer before i get there also :S

    Good Luck to all !!!!
