What were your Sx before Dx with PCOS?

Just wondering what everyones SX were before they found out PCOS? My sx started at age 15
1. Back Acne
2. bloated abdomen looked like 3 months preggo
3. irregular periods AF showed when ever wanted
4. I was always thin 5"6 125 pounds
5. Always hairy but Im half Latina just thought it came heritage
Age 28
1. Cystic Acne
2. Weight gain now 166 but my doctor says that I am not obese I carry well.
3. AF showes 32-36day just varies month to month
4.Anxiety
5.allergies to wheat,gluten,dairy
6. Infertility

I had no obvious symptoms prior to dx thin pcos. Looking back, I began birth control d/t late puberty & to enhance period. 10 yrs later when I got off BC to TTC, my periods were long at 38 days (give or take) & quite painful. Debilating actually (they still are). The dx came only after blood tests. 1) Elevated LH. 2) Annovulation. 3)Infertility. 4) Ultrasound indicated tubes were patent & ovaries had "some small cysts" but nothing to worry about & not indicative of infertility. I guess we're all different. Good luck!

My Symptoms:

1. Hairy-- Hair everywhere- so much my family would joke about it.

2. Absent periods-- when my cycles first started, they were every 28 days, clock work, then all of a sudden they stopped coming, and have been wacky since.

3.Hard to gain, but hard to loose weight

4. Infertility

Thats it, but I knew I always had pcos, all the symptoms sounded like what I was having.

I have blond course hair on my chin, no AF without BCP's, and a tough time with weight loss. I was diagnosed after no AF for 8 months when my husband and I were TTC "naturally."

My symptoms started at age 13. cycles every 90-180 days then now they are nonexistant, facial hair by the time I was 15, and acne and weight gain by the time I was 19. I was diagnosed at age 19.

Thanks for sharing! Canadian Jane congrats on your BFP 1st round of clomid wow Im on my first round to just took my last pill did you and your DH Bding CD10-20? Im thinking of Bding CD10-26 just in case late ovulation praying for a BFP!

My symptoms were..

Very Hairy! I had hair everywhere at age 17..People used to make fun of me when I was a kid..I had so much hair I had to start shaving my legs by 4th grade!

Absence of periods totally..

Weight gain..I was gaining weight for no reason at all :o(

As I grew older Infertility was also a problem...I do not have actual cysts on my ovaries but, I have been dx with pcos because I have every other symptom.

I was on bcp for 10 years, but I had a sudden 60lb weight gain in just 3 months without changing my eating or exercise habits, started getting a couple hairs on my big toes (just thought I was getting older), a large ruptured ovarian cyst, and was depressed.

After going off my bcp and ttc for a year, I now have acne, strange hair growth, weight gain around my midsection, no natural periods, many ruptured cysts, my ovaries are still completely covered in cysts, and still depressed.

Similar.... No periods started until age 14.5, so irregular BCPs started age 17. No thought or mention of anything until I stopped BCPs because of headaches. A while untreated.... Weight gain centrally, no ease of weight loss, facial acne, hairy chin/arms/legs, simply no AF ever and enough unprotected regular boning to suggest anovulation.
