I am currently taking the generic version of LO/Ovral called Cryselle and I am having what feels like O pains on my right side. I am on CD 13 which would be about the right time for me to O if I wasn't on BCPs. Thanks.

Yep. It can happen. I have a 10 year old son that's proof. Funny thing is I had been ttc for 5 years before that without any luck. Who knew impending divorce and trying to avoid pregnancy was all I needed.
They don't always work for everyone. My sister and I were both the result of the pill. And so is my son. They do work for the vast majority of people though. Just for some of us it just seems to straighten things out and make our bodies work right.
My Endo has said many times that women with PCOS can ovulate right through birth control pills. There are several cysters on this site who conceived while taking them. I personally know a handful of women who have as well and the majority of them were taking Yasmin at the time.
Yep, that's why we have 2 less than 2 years apart. That wouldn't have happened on purpose. We had to use Met. to get me to O to get pg. with DD1. DD2 was conceived right around DD1's 1st bday.

Can't wait to start WW again and loose the other 15lbs I gained with the last pregnancy and the 30lbs I still needed to lose with the first one.
!!!
I know this is a slightly-old post. But, wow this makes me think - really sore boobs is normal for just starting bcp right?
Did lots of bd'ing when I would have been ovulating if I wasn't on bcp (didn't know at time!) and I've been all kinds of sleepy/hungry and sore boobed.
Bah. It's probably in my head but the possibility of O'ing while on bcp is a shocker!

It is very possible; I've been pregnant 6 times and 4 times it happened when taking the pill at the same time, not missing a dose and it wasn't always the same birth control either, I've been on Yasmin, Lo/Ovral and Apri. My doctor calls my body unique in that it ovulates while being on the pill but when not pregnant I more or less take it to control other things such as acne, heavy periods, cramping, etc.
