Red face Hair on Chin and ALL OVER! how to remove?

Okay Girls this is my first time posting and I have so many things I want to discuss with all of you SoulCysters. I thought I would start with the hairy chin/face/chest/back....you get the point! I cant think of the fancy name for it but I wanted to bounce around some ideas on how to get rid of it and all the Fun products We have used!

So to start with me I have been starting to wax my chin since I was 16 years old. Hot wax/ wax strips/ I even went to a professinal. The thing is My mom never wanted me to shave because the hair grows back thicker and faster. OKay So Hair growth inhibitors like Dr. perscribed Vaniqua ( pricy 80 bucks since insureance thinks its cosmetic) It works pretty good but you have to wax or epilate with it. ( remove the hair fromn the root). Ther is also Kalo brand that works good after waxing the face and Emjoi After Epilation Cream with Growth Inhibitor works great after epilating.

Then there are hair creams! Joy, they burn and work only for about 2-3 days. I only use them on my tummy or my chacha ( less ingrown hairs). Right now I am all about the epilator. A lot cheaper than going and getting waxed all the time and after about the first few time on the face ( make sure you use after epilating cream watch out for ingrowns!) its not that painful.
Okay , okay, okay enough about my little tricks I wanna hear what all of you do to get rid of that pesky hair! Plus is there anyone who uses the NO!NO! from Sephora.

Please let me know your stories, Sorry for the long post I am just so excited to be here and meet all of you!!!!

I have started just getting my hair threaded. But I will never do it again! Except on my eyebrows. But I usually just shave once every teo or three weeks to get the hair off of upper lip. And I usually use the twizzers with my chin hairs.

I pull my chin hairs out with tweezers everyday, and wax my lip and eyebrows

I use tweezers on my chin hair typically once a day (sometimes twice) and it is horrible as sometimes the hair breaks and I am left with little black dots. Luckily (I suppose) I don't have much hair on my upper lip.

I wax the rest of my body (legs, bikinni line, tummy, feet!!) My main problem is now the hair that has recently apeared in patches on my back. I am very embarassed by this and it is affecting my sex life. I need it removed by a professional since I can't reach. I am looking now into electroylisis for my facial hair and wonder if I should ask about getting my back done as well.

I wish I could just pluck all the chin hairs but there are Soooooooooo many! Thats why I use an epilator but plucking would be more percise. I think I may go back to waxing but you have to wait so long for the hair to grow out!

I have the same problem and it is embarassing!! I think the hair makes me more self concious than the acne.

The burning questions...Do you grow it out to have it waxed or just shave it? If you grow it - how do you go out in public?

Anyway, have a story to share with you on this topic...I have two UGLY patches of hair on my chin. I got tired of waxing and plucking...so I shave it off everyday. I can't even believe I am sharing this with you all...this is such a touchy subject for me...I hate my chin hair and am so self concious!! I hate it when my boyfriend touches my face cause I would die if he felt stubble. Sometimes, I have to shave the chin hair twice a day it grows back so fast.

If I know I won't see him for the evening, I will let the @^&#^ hair grow out so I can do a good plucking in the morning before I see him. But I have a busy life and shaving the hair is quick.

Anyway - the story...I told my mom that if anything should ever happen to me and I was in a coma or something...that she would have to shave my chin hair daily cause I don't want visitors to see the hair. I dread the idea of being unable to care for myself and it grow into a beard...anyone else have this nighmare??

So this summer I was playing on some slippery rocks with my boyfriend's daughter when I slipped and cracked my chin open. I was bleeding for over an hour so I decided to go get some stitches. So with the bright lights and the doctor working right in that area....I was just mortified!! He could see my stubble so I felt the need to explain that I have PCOS. He was so kind about it and asked if I was seeing a specialist for it and didn't mention the stubble. So the next day with blue string hanging out of my chin, I let my bf look at my stitches...then I realized I didn't and couldn't shave...I was freaking out inside, I have to wonder if he is blind or doesn't care cause the stubble was there.

This epilator - does it work? Is it expensive?

I know what you are talking about. I'm new here too. Issues since 13 diagnosed at 19 and now here at 28.

I pluck everyday. I nair EVERYWHERE and use an "epilady" on face and back. My husband was sweet enough to do it for me. The last time was really bad though. He asked me for the first time if i was sure. He said that "it was pretty bad this time."

I cried! I was so embarrassed for the first time in a long time with my husband. I felt sooooo ugly!

When it comes to hair you can grow out. Epilady is the way to go. Other than that. Find a REALLY good pair of tweezers.

Leigh, I feel exactly the same way. It is totally embarassing. I have told my husband the exact same thing. If something were ever to happen to me he better wax my face. It is sad how there is nothing that seems to work 100%. I have done laser hair removal twice in the past 10 years and both times it grew back. They have told me that it will be a life ling process as with PCOS once my hormones change it will all grow back. Who can afford that though? It is just nice to know that there are other wome experiencing the same things and that we are not alone.

I am really happy there are people going through the same thing as me and it is good to hear that you have partners that you are so comfortable with that they remove your hair etc. My ex boyfriend and I were together for 4 years and he knew I plucked hairs on my chin and he saw the hairs I have on my back but he told me it didn't bother him and we got on with things.

Well, I am in a new relationship now and have JUST been told I have PCOS and don't really know how to explain things to him. Up until recently I have been really good at hiding my excess body hair from him. However about three weeks ago we were in bed in the morning and he was staring at my chin. I knew right away that he could see black hairs that probably had grown overnight. I got really embarrased, told him to stop staring at me and told him I had to go to the toilet. I basically ran away from him acting like a 12 year old. Later he asked me if I had hair on my face. I told him yes (almost in tears) and he said 'like black hair like men grow?'. I was so embarassed and felt so unattractive. I recently had one of my ovaries removed and wasn't yet diagnosed with PCOS so I told him it was due to the cyst that had grown on my ovary. He was really understanding. However, it was only the other day they told me I have PCOS and I am nervous to tell him. I feel really embarassed to say the words 'extra testosterone' or a lot of male hormone etc. How can he actually find me attractive when I feel as if I am part man sometimes???

    Anyhow, rant over hahah.

I have an embarrasing place where hair grows and that is on my butt and it is so horrible. The worst thing I think is that it grows so fast it is amazing.

Thank you So much for sharing everyone! My Husband Bless his heart epilates my back for me....gross but sweet, right.

to answere your question Leigh when I used to grow it out ( ugh) to get it waxed I would wear LOTS of makeup. The hair has gotten finer since I use growth inhibitor cream. Now I just Use an epilator. There are so many diffrent types and prices range from like 40 bucks to mid 100's. Amazon.com has a variety. I am wanting to try the NO!NO! product. Its supposed to be permanent hair removal....you can read reviews on it at Sephora.com. They say your not supposed to use it on "sensative" place like the face but there are some people in the reviews who have PCOS and they have mentioned it works for them! It was priced at 250 but it went down to 100. If I get it I will update on how good it works

    Default me too

I also have to pluck my chin everyday....I've tried smooth away pads on my lip- but they just broke me out. So i just wax my lip. I have to pluck everyday and my husband knows I do it- but I don't think he knows how much/often. I also won't let him feel my face because I'm afraid he'll feel "pricklies"....Yuck! I also am scared I'll go in a coma and everyone will see how hairy I am! What a NIGHTMARE!

Trini I am on Met I just started about a month ago. I have not seen any diffrences yet, but hopefully with my weight loss on it I will start to see a diffrence. I hear there are some good herbs as well that help with the slowing hair growth...but I dont know if they would interfere with the Met or improve the outcome. I am also TTC so I need to talk with the doc before I pump myself up with all sorts of new things. My Dr. says Weight loss will be the ultimate way of getting rid of the symptoms of PCOS and getting pregnant. But well.....we all know how hard that is, and even when I was in the 160's I still had all these symptoms. Tho gaining 50lbs didnt help but hey I'm on a mission So I got to DO IT TO IT!!

I was scared at first about my B/F ( husband now) seeing all my hair and him freaking out. But when that one morning he tried to pull a hair off my chest that was attached I was mortified! I quickly explained to him that I have a contitioned called PCOS that causes all these crazy things to happen to my Body and I am still all woman, I just have to deal with excess hair. Then I went on to ask him if he notices anything "getting out of controll hair wise" that he needs to tell me so I can take care of it and stop getting funny looks from him. LOL!
