Default Ovulation predictor kit's with PCOS

I know there are some problems with many that have PCOS getting nearly all positive OPK's. Does anyone have any experience? I took a test one today, because I wanted to make sure I would be able to do them without problem.

I attached a picture of the tests I took today, does anyone know if they are negative? The picture is crappy, but I do believe the test line is lighter than the control. Any advice/insight?

I've taken 15 of those answer dip strips this cycle and they all look like that or even darker. I think my LH is too high and that's why they are all positive or almost positive. Also I was testing with fmu when I got the definite positives...so I know it doesn't count.

    Good luck!

I think I'm just going to hope that it is a negative, since I took another one right after posting this that was definitely light enough to consider negative, lol. Thanks!

My RE told me to never take an ovulation test again, lol. She said they are not accurate with PCOS. I would gets days of dark, dark positives on my unmedicated cycles.

I must admit, I was an ovulation test addict so it is taking some getting used to :-P

I use OPK's every month, suggested by my doctor. Each month I have had 1 1/2 days where the "test" line is darker than the "control" line, but only by a little. This month (yesterday and today as a matter of fact), I used Clomid for the 1st time, and I had a VERY dark line. I have never received positives any other time then right around O time, so I guess they work for some, not for others. But looking at your test, it looks negative. Just keep testing and see if it gets any darker. Yesterday afternoon, mine looked like yours and by last night, it was DARK... at lunchtime today, the test line showed up DARK as all get out, even before the control line showed up. GL and baby dust to you!!

I was advised to use OPKs by my OB and then again by my fertility specialist. I used First Response and they worked perfectly for me, 3 cycles in a row, and helped get me my BFP!

Those tests are definitely negative, but keep testing! I went through hundreds of negatives before my positive would pop up

    Good luck and God bless

I have used them before and they did not work for me. My doctor advised me to stop "making myself crazy" because i'm addicted to them. I think though that they work for some but not all

The first time I decided to take OPK's, they didn't work for me at all.. I always had some sort of line so I decided not to use them.. but then I bought myself some dollar store OPK's and randomly took one and POOF, it was positive!! And it was clearly positive.. definitely darker than the control line. My rule is that if I have to guess and wonder if it's positive, it's probably not. You'll definitely be able to tell when it matches the control line or is darker. Or at least that was the case with me..

    Thanks everyone!!

I actually was told by my gyne to do OPK's starting on the 7th day of my cycle, so I bought a pack of the Answer ones, figuring I'd try them out, haha. I'm trying to refrain from using any, because I haven't started the clomid yet, and I know I'm not ovulating! I'm such a budding POAS addict, lmao.
