When will by belly turn into one instead of two?

Hi everyone,

I am slightly fluffy and have a kind of B belly at the moment. It is bigger at the top than the bottom. Even the bottom bit is getting bigger I just want it to be one big baby bump! Has anyone experienced this? When did you look properly pregnant with one big bump?

I'm still waiting for the B to transform into a D, but I've seen quite a few ladies with the 'B' belly wind up looking very pregnant. I think the general consensus is that it happens sometime after 20 weeks - I've heard a lot in the realm of 24-28 weeks. You're already at 20, so in the next month or two something should start popping more (hopefully).

I look at mine and the indentation is definitely getting more shallow and the bottom 'hump' is much harder. Unfortunately, it also looks like it's all pushing the fat up and out on the top part. Makes for a very odd silhouette.

I hate to tell you, but it might not turn into a "D" belly. My top part of my belly got REALLY big and hard...but the bottom swing stayed saggy and swingy but when I wore maternity clothes, I totally looked preggo, nobody would have even known about the bottom hang...

My friend's never turned into a D belly, but everyone's built differently. I'd say by 28 weeks you'll be nicely rounded

My first pregnancy it never turned into a D This pregnancy it seems like it might be changing, I'm 26 weeks so we'll see how it ends up..lol.

Ok maybe this is kind of a dumb and personal question but I am a pretty fluffy myself but don't understand what you all mean by a B belly does anyone have a pic they wouldn't mind showing that could explain this?

A 'B' belly normally means that your stomach area is 'divided' (normally at the belly button) by a fold that turns your stomach into two parts instead of just one. If you stand sideways, it really does look like a (slightly lumpy) B.

I will post my belly pic at about 8 weeks. I will also show a pic of my belly at about 5 weeks so you can compare. My first pregnancy, i never had the D belly but like another poster said, the maternity clothes never gave a hint i had the extra under my baby belly I do however find that I am showing faster the second time around. As you can see in the pics, I am starting to have a belly

The one in the pink shirt is my 5 week and the other is at 8 weeks...Basically a b belly is when , what I call the "kangaroo pouch" doesnt round off with the rest of the belly but stays put...

I still have the indention of the B but depending on what I wear I can make it look like a D. Watch your underwear... don't wear anything that's tight around your mid section. Try to wear it under neath or completely over. I noticed my b comes back when I have undies that are a little tight on.

My last 2 pg's I never quite lost my "dent" but as another poster said, if you don't wear anything that stops at your waist you can kind of smooth it out and with your maternity tops you will definately look preggo.

Thankyou all so much for your replies! I don't mind if I have the wobbly bit at the bottom, as long as I look pregnant and no one can see the bottom bit.
