Default I'm joining the adoption board

Well, I've officially graduated to the world of adoption. Dh and I got a negative pg test with the last of our embryos. Now it's onto adoption. Dh and I will first look into embryo adoption and try that one time (maybe two) and then we'll start filling out applications for domestic infant adoption. I'm waiting for a phone call now to see if there are any embryos left to adopt. There were only 9 couples who donated and 4 have already been matched up. Hopefully we can find a match.
On this new jouney called adoption I'm going to need all the advice, support and help I can get. We've chosen Bethany Christian Services as the agency we'll go through. If you're from the Minnesota area and went through another agency I'd like to hear about that too.

I look forward to hear from all of you and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome aboard. I am sorry to hear that your latest pg test was negative. And I have never heard of embryo adoption. But, this is a great board and we are excited to have you here.

Welcome!!! I'm also sorry to hear that the pg test was negative. I've heard of embryo adoption, but don't know anyone who has tried it. Good luck, and keep us posted on how it goes.

    Beth,
    Our hearts are with you!
And we welcome you and your DH to the wonderful world of
    adoption.
Bethany has been alright to work with- you know our story.
We've been working hard on the paperwork. We did things a little different. as in we haven't filled out our formal application yet (only essays to write- we're doing them this weekend- so we can give them the application to start homestudy) we needed some time to deal with some stuff, but in the meantime we also got our passports, employers letters, fingerprints from local police station, local police criminal background check, the I-600 thing asked for- don't believe we filled out yet, wedding certificates, birth certificates- we're well on our way- (need to get physicals though-) Darlene is our SW- we hope anyway- and she will do the home study VERY quickly-so we're hoping by april to be done done- with at least all the "work" it will be the wait for paper approval-then the referral- then the wait again- SO praying for a child around Christmas time-

    again-
    welcome
    Jen
