Question Yet another saw palmetto question

    Hi everyone

I am fairly new here so I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed. Has anyone taking saw palmetto noticed an INCREASE in hair loss since taking it? I tried taking sp for 6 weeks and stopped because my hair loss grew much worse. This was the only med/supplement I was taking at the time and I could find no other reason for this to happen. Did I just not take it long enough? I was taking 320mg of standardized sp.

    Any info or input?

    Thanks!

    Well that bites.
It just doesn't make sense BUT we are in the trenches here, there is not much info or study on women.

    How's your insulin control?

Have you had complete blood test? Do you know if you have high testosterone or maybe it's your adrenal androgens that are causing the hair loss and the saw palmetto isn't doing anything to correct those?

I know! I couldn't figure it out either. My insulin control is good. I've been low carbing since Sept. and I have lost over 75 pounds. Yeaaaa! lol It has been 2 years since I have had any blood tests done. Should I have them done again? I'm still trying to remember if there was any other possible reason for the increased hair loss besides the sp. I was really hoping it would work for me.
