    Question back hair

recently I have notice my back has been itching, looked at it today, as well as I could in mirror. I noticed a few longer hairs between shoulder blades. Still trying to figure out how I`ll get to them if they get out of hand ahhh!!!

Never heard of that one...please tell me I`m not the only one with that.

I have heard of it but do not hair there - yet. (I have a very hairy face.) With PCOS, I am sure it is "normal". I work at a daycare and we have a 2 year old girl with more hair on her back than my DH does. (I am not joking.) She is very hairy everywhere. I feel for her when she gets older. As for your hair, you could get it waxed. Or you could try to shave it.

    Hey there,

As an esthetician I see this a lot!! Don't worry, usually I can wax it or pluck it. A lot of women are embarassed at first but then I say hon, You can relax, If I didn't wax my whole face I would be chewbaca!! LOL....So trust me your not alone, I hope this helps you out =) BB

    Default back hair

Hey there. You sound just like me. I was in the shower one morning, looked in the mirror and almost fainted. I had hair on my back (shoulders). It frightened me. I had always had facial hair and hair on my abdomen but not there. That is what made me go to my doctor who sent me to an endo, who diagnosed me with PCOS.

It is so frustrating, but I found a good salon where the lady will wax my back and stuff. It sure is embarrassing when you want to wear clothes that reveal a little part of the back and shoulders.

Still trying to cope with the whole PCOS and hairiness.

I have a few stray back hairs around my shoulder area and I usually tweeze them or I have DF do it for me. He's really understanding and supportive of the hair problem, along w/ everything else that comes w/ PCOS. I know it's really hard to deal with all of this. I feel like I'm pretty close to having every PCOS symptom there is, except for the hair loss... and I hope that's not what's coming next.

I have this problem, too, but didn't really start noticing it until about 7 years ago, when DH and I started dating. By that time, it didn't matter, because he has the same amount of hair growing in the same spots on his back, so we at least match. I can't reach back to do anything about it, and I'm certainly not letting DH pluck it, as he starts going nutty with the tweezers, so we both just deal with it. Not like anyone ever sees much of mine anyway, unless I'm wearing my swimsuit, and I only do that at my parent's house and the in-law's house!

yep, i have LOTS of hair on my back. It really really annoys me. I've tried waxing but it hurts too much for me. When I start working, I wanna get it lasered. And I have lots of hair on my chest, so like I can only wear 95% of the shirts that are on the market for spring-summer time I even tried tying the razor to a stick to shave it, but it didn't work out.

    Hey FairyTaleDreamer,

Just wanted to send you short note to say that some guys will find you prettier with hair than if you were not hairy. I personally think that female body hair is very charming. But, that's just me.

    Good luck,
    Oliver

    hi there bibi,

i just wanted to ask that as an esthetician, do you see the problem of stray hairs on the backs of 'normal' women, or is it just women with pcos?

i'd be really interested to know.

    thanks :)
