Default Does Glucophage help your nails?

When I was younger I had beautiful nails... when everybody was getting fake ones put on, I had to have nothing done. Then for the last 3-4 years my nails have been horribly brittle and break off easily... but I noticed in the last week or two my nails are beautiful again, and I cut them and the grow back within a week they are long again... I dont know if this is because of the glucophage or not. Nothing else has changed I did start to exercise a little more, but other wise everything is the same! Has anybody else had this experience?

Are you drinking milk with your Glucophage to help your stomach? I think the milk helped my nails and maybe the vitamins I'm taking now.

I used to have beautiful nails too! Then, over the years they got really weak and started breaking really easily. I just thought it was old age - HA!

I swear within about 2 months of taking the gluc my nails starting getting stronger and growing faster. In fact, I think it was one of the first PCOS symptoms I had that started to improve with gluc.

My endo just looks at me like I'm crazy, but I would take this stuff forever just for the great nails and the fact that my dandruff disappeared!

thank you for your reply... its strange but glucophage is the only thing I could think of that might be helping my nails! I first realized it when I cut them cause we were going on a fishing trip and I didnt want a bunch of stuff to get under them, then a day later when were at the cabin, I had to cut them again! I thought maybe I was imaginging things, but when I cut them two days later, I gave up and I am letting them grow! Oh its wonderful to have nice nails again
