Default Meeting tomorrow at 8am....please pray

    Hi ladies!

Most of you already know the hard time we're having with our job as fosterparents..mainly with the staff. We have a meeting tomorrow with two of the caseworkers (our bosses) and I don't think its going to be pretty.

We lead a pretty caged life and are making the best of what God has given us. To spite the bad things, theres good things as well. You know, the house without paying mortgage or rent, the children (to spite their added baggage of issues from Neglect and or abuse, a home church now, etc etc etc.

We've been spiritually beaten up pretty bad and so far 5 foster families have moved out and onto other positions because of how hard (not the kids, but the staff) its been on them. It claims to be a Christian organization, but the bosses whom claim confidentiality are just not living lives of Christians at all. Needless to say, its been a struggle to make it this far. We've been praying and reading "purpose driven life" and God has helped us to gain strength through prayer, our home church, and Bible study with other fostermothers in the program (which has now come to a hault because the woman who led it has had it and is leaving the program as well). I will use that time to get into the church and strengthen my own Christianity through another womens Bible study, but eventually I would like to start another for these women who are also beat up.

We are feeling defeated in certain areas, we are feeling neglected, isolated, and in our case......surrounded by satans lies and people who claim to be Christian who don't seem to be claiming it by living it. Help! We need major prayer!! We're going into a meeting at 8am and we're scared, and have battle scars, and feel like we'll be going back to battle. If anyone sees this before the meeting please pray for us!!

We are going to get down on our faces and pray as soon as I'm finished with this message. We know God has the power to help us and to show us direction. We're not being led to leave and have been able to minister to the girls and have a new one coming in, we will be able to go to school in the fall (technically just my husband), and are using this time, to save for a down payment on a house. PLEASE PRAY FOR US!!

    God Bless You all!!

    Rebekah-

Sending prayers from CT for strength and courage of conviction when you go into this meeting tomorrow. I know you are anticipating a high level of stress but always remember that God is watching over you and leading you.

Let us know how it all turns out for you!

    Thank you so much Aimee!!

Well, we went into the meeting and it went wonderfully. We actually let one of our fosterdaughters stay home from school because of half day...so she could regain some momentum. In the process....I was up at 4am praying with my husband again, and the girls and I were listening to the local Contemperary Christian music and singing along with the songs. On the way to the meeting, one of the girls prayed with doug and I for the day and for certain people in our lives as well as for the meeting. It was a humbling experience because at first she said she didn't feel comfortable to pray because she didn't know how. When I told her it didn't matter how she prayed but that she just NEEDED to pray, she understood and for the first time, prayed aloud for her family, friends, for us and for her case workers. It was so beautiful to hear her!!

The meeting went much better than expected, however they want us to consider moving to another house in relief so we could help those kids. The days off and holidays off sounds wonderful, but theres not enough run for the dogs, we'd have to hurry up and buy a car instead of save for one like we'd planned and we'd be leaving one of the girls thats grown so attatched to us ....so many including her biological parents have pretty much abandoned her and its sad.......so while their are pro's and con's to each situation, I think we're going to stay right where we are. We're going to pray on it though and make sure its the direction God wants us to stay in. However, I really think we're here for a reason........for the girls we have here now, to give DH extra time to go to college, and for us to save for a home in that amount of time. So far, everything seems to be working out, and we feel that God needs us to stay where we're at.

Thank you for your prayers, it felt like we were definately covered.

I haven't and won't be on so much for now because we're preparing for a child thats addicted to crack cocaine. We'll need alot of prayer, but God must believe we have something to learn. Please pray for her demeaner. Out of experience with other individuals, crack cocaine addicts who've been just taken off the stuff tend to be extremely violent and the drug makes a person extremely strong. THEY FEEL ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
    strength-wise!!

This too shall pass.lol We've grown so much through all our ups and downs and I truely thank all of you who've really supported us in prayer. Theres so many loving women here with so much to give!!

    God Bless You all!!

I'm not sure when you'll be online again, but hope you will see this. I just wanted to say hello and how awesome it was to hear of your foster daughter's prayer with you. That is amazing - Praise God. I'm glad you've decided to stay where you are and the meeting went well.

How old is the child addicted to crack-cocaine? Is it an infant? or an older child who was actually using his/herself? I will pray for you and the whole family, I know this will be a trying time. With God's love and your love this child will now have a chance at life. What you are doing is so amazing and wonderful. May God bless and keep all of you.

    Thanks ladies!

We'll really be needing your prayers! We went to a double meeting this morning with the WHOLE company......we found out a lot of unsettling things and even worse, have found out that there is yet another set of houseparents leaving. One set will be leaving in June, another in July. Thats 5 set of houseparents (fosterparents really) that will have left the program in the year that we've been here. The sad part is that ALL the houseparents that are leaving are the ones that I fellowshiped with and had Bible studies with. The remaining parents are lost souls. This is a Christian company becoming not so Christian anymore. We're sad, but we know we're covered under the blood of Jesus!

We found out at the meeting that the houseparent that is leaving is a respit house (which we've thought about taking a long time ago) We also found out however, that we may be forced into taking another house because they want to put other parents that they feel will fit better in ours. Nobody mentioned that to us, however we were wondering why we were asked to think about the other position. Seems we may not have a choice. However, the respite will be opening and that was the position we wanted.

We're a bit angry because we weren't told the whole story, and are even more angry that our fosterdaughter wasn't thought of. The case workers have been nasty and with each parents that have left, said lies, untruthes, and made the kids feel like these people abandoned them while in retrospect, they were asked to keep silent about leaving because they didn't want the children to worry for months on end until they left. Outside of that, I'm concerned that our daughter will feel abandoned and theres nothing we can do about it! It does seem however that they may move her to a four placement from our two placement. Ugh! All of this under our nose.

We are praying on EVERYTHING and are blessed to have Dougs parents here to pray with and guide us through this mess. We have decided to "worry not" and let God take control. If He wants us to move, then maybe He heard us about going to respite, if we need to move to relief home, then he will take care of the extra expenses of a car, or if we need to move on also, God will provide. We're hoping that we can stay no matter what, because it will prepare us for our future outside of the company when DH graduates in 3 years.

Please Continue to pray for us, it seems we have many decisions to make that will affect alexis who's already so attatched to us and the dogs. While she will be able to visit and go on outings with us, she will not have us on a daily basis, and may bot be able to go to the church if she were placed somewhere else, or with someone else. She will need prayers.

We also will need your prayers because we're being beaten up by satan ....however God is following through on His promises. The more people in prayer, the better.

As for the new girl. She is 14 as well and by all means, needs to be in rehab, however, this program needs money bad, and is taking children who have harder cases with drug addiction and severe phsychological needs that most of us parents aren't trained to handle. Please pray for this child, and for us as well as whatever happens, she may be involved in change as well.

I will keep you all posted.

We are quite happy and thankful for the trials we're given, just sometimes we need fellowship with other believers and prayers with other believers to get us through the moment. God has been so good to us.

I pray all is well with all of you. I will post again, as soon as I can.lol

    Love
    ~Rebekah~

    Rebekah,

Just a quick note to let you know that I have not stopped praying for you and your situation. It is hard to allow God to do His will and not yours. I will pray that God will protect you from the attack of the enemy.

Thank you so much! We're still making it through. My heart isn't so heavy about this situation as it would normally be. I'm feeling so much peace, like God has so much hand in our situation. Praise God for His love, mercy and protection.

    Love you girls!!

    Small update,

We didn't accept the offer of switching to the "Relief" house because of both our love for our daughter, the house we have gotten established in, and the fact that we are trying to pay off our car and would have to get a minivan for that position. We are working towards being better stewardts with our money and do not think that it would be wise at this time, to move into something that could put us in financial issues once again. We prayed quite hard on that and have seemed to have gotten Gods answer. Who knows if we will be moved to respite. I'm assuming it's all up to the company. It wouldn't cause us to buy a new vehicle. While we would still like to stay where we're at. We're leaving the final decision up to God, He knows whats best. Please continue to pray for direction and an openess on our part to hear His call.

I pray that your all doing well. Miss being here on a daily basis, however, once the ruckous dies down a bit, I may have the time to be on more in the future.

Thank you ladies for your support and upliftment!! I love you all!!
