    hey,
I am also 16 and am having the same problem. I went to this OWL (optimal Weight for life) clinic and they said that a low carbohydrate diet is best. Eating meals where 2/3 of the plate are veggies and the meat is the size of your palm is good. Stay away from bananas. You want to go for the sugars that are found in plants and fruits, not sugar that is in processed foods. You also want to drink either a lot of water, diet sodas, or anything light. (such as diet iced tea) you just really, really want to stay away from processed foods and junk food. I've lost 10 pounds on it all ready!! my e-mail is meggs513@hotmail.com, and my screen name for AIM is Magga513 if you want to chat!! ~meaghan

You could try Weight Watchers. I lost 6 pounds in the last two
    weeks on the points plan.

    Default low-carb

I'm 17 and I have been low-carbing for 2 months and lost 13 pounds already. I went to a nutritionist who, luckily knew about PCOS, and she put me on a plan where I can have 60 grams of carbs at each meal. It has worked wonderfully. I would suggest asking your doc first and then try a low-carb diet.

    hey!

I'm 17 and have had the same problem all my life..... I have tried the weight watchers ...i ended up gaining alot more wieght when i fell off the diet.....i tried different types of diets none seemed to work... i live on carbs which is a huge problem for me....so the low-carb diet would never work for me.....i talked to my endo. doc and he put me on merida which is a diet pill....it has been great....i know at 17 diet pills seem scary and are expensive but it has been great.... i have been on it for 10 months about and have lost just about 30 pounds..... it's safe as long as you keep in touch with your doctor...it curves your appetite and makes it alot easier to turn away food.... good luck....you can do it.....it might not be easy but you can do it.....e-mail me if you have questions: freshwoods4@yahoo.com.
