    Talking I'm so thrilled--finally some good news!!

    We are beyond ecstatic this morning.

    We received news that the World Health Organization (WHO) has lifted all travel advisories for China! In turn, the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA), effective today, is resuming mailing out referrals and notices of travel!!!

    What it means for our family is that things will speed up quite a bit--we are still expecting referral at the end of 2003 and anything sooner is a bonus. If we could go get Lilly in the beginning of 2004 we'd be thrilled, although we'll take her sooner if we can!!

    I cannot believe this day has finally come! It has been a long few months, not knowing what would happen. Some families have been waiting for their referrals since being DTC in March & April of 2002 so I am especially happy for them!! YAHOO

    And, this couldn't have happened on a better day---today is our 14th wedding anniversary! I couldn't ask for a better gift!

    Happily married for 19 years & mommy to 3 beautiful daughters
    ~13 year old (born preemie @ 24 weeks), 5.5 year old & 3.5 year old (both born in China!)~

    Ectopic pg 08/02 ... HSG 09/02 -- all clear
    Five failed clomid rounds as of 2/27/03
    Laparoscopy 03/11/03; found multiple fibroids and endometriosis
    3 rounds of Gonal-F injections with IUI's -- all a BUST!!
    Myomectomy on July 8, 2003 to remove fibroids.
    Adopted the Light of My Life on July 14th, 2004 from St. Petersburg, Russia

    Thanks everyone!!!!

    I'm still up on the high I was on yesterday. It was a fabulous day!! Our agency sent an email out saying they are expecting 1200 assignments (referrals) to be sent out this week and more coming next week!!! WOW!!! That's lots of babies finding their forever families!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for thinking of us. I am so happy and I hope this helps the process speed up some!!

    Amy (dna)--I just re-read these posts and noticed you may adopt from China for your second child! That's cool!

    When the time comes, this will all be old hat to me and I'll be able to give you some pointers!
