Thumbs up I Love the Shick "Intuition" Razor

Just to let you all know...

I have had alot of luck with this razor. It's the one with the bar of lather built right into the razor head. So you don't need to play around with the shaving cream and the razor. All you do is run the wet razor over your wet skin and voila!!

It shaves closer than I had thought it would. Call me crazy but I think it lasts longer too.

I just wanted to share that.

Ditto! They are more expensive than the disposables I was using before, but well worth it, especially when you consider you don't have to buy shaving cream, too. And it leaves my legs feeling softer afterwards.... I think there is a moisturizer in the lather.

Me too! Me too! I totally agree that this razor is the best thing ever! It is so convenient that I shave my legs completely (rather than just up to my knees as I do when I am lazy) every couple of days and always have smooth legs, which DH greatly appreciates! The price is kind of steep, but I bought mine off eBay and it was tons cheaper than in the store.

I Love it too, but an having a problem making it last. At least with my Venus I got a good 5-10 shaves before the razor became dull, now I only get about 3 shaves and the razor is dull and the soap head is mostly gone. Has anyone else experience that?

If it wasn't for that I would have not complaints, since it costs so much. You would think that the soap head would last longer??? I'm hanging it on the hook that came with it up and out of the way of the shower so no excessive water hits it while others are showering. I just don't know.

I'm with you Lucy - I hang mine on the hook too, and have gone back to the Gillete Sensor for Women until I find a better razor.

I love this razor as well, but I used to be able to make a razor (the Venus) last for 12-14 days before I needed to change the blade.

These razors lasted NO MORE than four days, and that was REALLY going lightly to avoid washing off all the soap part.

For now I've just gone back to using the Venus and will switch back to the other next summer - it saved at least 15 minutes in shaving each morning, but in the cooler weather I just "touch up" shave every other morning and won't need a REAL shave unless I wear a dress sometime soon.

I wish they lasted longer, though - but at that price, I couldn't replace them every three or four days!

im new to this board but ....

I too have a LOVE- HATE relationship with the intuition.

Mine only last 3-4 shaves.. ( theres a whole lotta me to cover ya know ) but anyways my suggestion is to call the companies 1-800 number and complain!!! you never know they cant fix it unless they are aware...

I just don't know what I am doing wrong with this razor. I bought it because people were raving about it, but when I try to shave my face with it, it just doesn't get even close enough to shave the hairs....do you only use it for your legs? If so, then thats my problem, but in the meantime I have gone back to my other shaver.

I have not tried it for my face yet. I do however use it for my legs, chest and underarms. I find it shaves closer so I can now wear shirts that are lower than my neck.

As for the posts that say that it does not last long enough. Have any of you tried to take it out of the bathroom and leave it somewhere else? Sometimes in my bathroom the steam settles on the bar and it still remains wet even after the water is turned off. Maybe that is what is doing it. Just a suggestion.

Thumbs up Another Bump for the Intuition

I've never shaved my legs in the shower because it was such a mess and now I can with this! It saves SO much time and I love it! (I'm still just plucking the face, so can't say yes or no about the aspects of using it there.)

    Default I'm happy with it!

Well, I love this razor too. I am not a daily shaver, because I NEVER wear shorts or a dress, so I only shave every 2-4 days. It is more expensive, but considering I was using the Venus with shaving cream, it doesn't seem that much more $. I don't have a problem with the bar disappearing too quickly. And, as far as the blade... Mine isn't dull even after the bar is gone! And, I have tree-trunk hairs!

I can't sing this razors praises enough. Sorry to hear its not working out too well for some of you...

    Be well & safe!

PS I don't think it was meant to shave a face, but I could be wrong. I think it was designed just for legs and pits, which for me it does really well.

Angry I didn't care for it

It didn't even shave very close at all. I still have the hidious very visible long black stubble on my chest. I love the soap part of it, but it doesn't even shave close. Guess, I'm still stuck with my gillette razor and having to wear shirts up to my neck. It didn't shave very close on my throat either. Oh well.

I'm glad it worked for some of you.
