I think I accidentally created a new thread, instead of responding to the posts in here... I'm sorry!! (I'm a sorta-newbie, been lurking for a long time, but first time posting.)

Hubby and I started Atkins on the first. I have about 90lbs to lose ultimately... but would be happy with 30 gone by June!!

He calls me during the day to "police" me and ask what I've eaten... so it's nice to have support at home (since the snack machine at the office is so unsupportive)

Welcome Candtheweisel, you're still on one of the many June challenge threads don't worry. Your weight loss goals sound just about identical to mine, my hubby not as supportive as yours though that's why I spend so much time here on SC. Good luck to you and all of us. And congrats on you finally being able to quit lurking and actually joining

    Red face tentatively joining

I have been following the Challenge plans since the beginning. Frankly I'm still confused about a few things, but it's starting to become clearer the more I read.

I would love to join you all, but we're broke at the moment and I can't donate any money....however I can donate pounds to the 1000 pound goal. I have about 150 pounds left to lose, but would like to lose 50 by June 27.

I'm doing the IR diet with some vegetarian meals. My little sister (age 13) and I have also made a contract to exercise everyday. (She's getting a penny per minute and she's making a big dent in my penny jar. LOL) So I'd like to "sign" us both up for the Challenge.

I hope it's all right that we join. I really want to help her and myself get healthy and fit!

Best wishes to all of you and I look forward to walking with you on our journey.

    Hugs!

    Talking me too???

I'd love to join the challenge! Is that ok? If it is - could someone "dumb down" the info for me. What exactly is it that we have to do to join? Is this the thread we use to join?

Sorry, I am having a "spacey" day! I am sure this is simple, I am just not getting it... LOL

    Default hi owl!

welcome to the challenge. all you *need* to do to join is post your challenge weight loss, i suppose. we weigh in on mondays, so you can start then if you want, or weigh now, and figure out what a reasonable goal for you would be. even if it is eating healthier in the new year.

there are several threads on this challenge, and i guess there is one called 'did you exercise today' that is posted daily that i really enjoy- sometimes you need the push

i'm sure you will get more detailed information about what to do and where to go, but i'm pretty much computer illiterate sometimes, so cant find the posts to link you to.

but, hang in there, you can do it!

I have just started the Atkins diet on 1/02/04 as a matter of fact, I'm used to losing alot of weight in the beginning and then I really slow down, but I was kind of bummed that I'm still at 6.5 lost usually I would lose a little more by now, but oh well AF is visiting after all. Good luck to you

    Hi,
Did not weigh on Monday, so I am curious to find out what I weigh. Do not own scales, so I will weigh at church on Sunday. Strange, there is a set of physicians scales in the ladies dressing/lounge area.
Have yet to excercise, but does thinking about it count?

okay, i still need to weigh in.... but i am so scared.

i was wondering if any one could give me some ideas for a QUICK breakfast. dh is doing the june challenge with me. snd he doesnt like what i usually eat. so now i'm cooking for 2. and have to consider someone elses tastes. i usually eat (don't laugh!) eggs and a salad, or eggs and spinach. sometimes i'll eat a salad with chicken in it. i love veggies. everyone else thinks i'm strange. oh well. we're trying the isulin resistance diet, and i'm just at a loss for breakfast ideas. and we are always running a little late, so that's why i said QUICK b'fast ideas.

    sorry for rambling.
