    Unhappy Anyone else?

    Hi ladies...

Is there anyone else that can't work due to anxiety and depression? It's going on 3 years for me...just wondering if anyone else has my problem.

I am able to work, but know those who can not. You are not alone. Also, wanted to send (((warm comforting vibes))) your way. Lendi

Hi Buttercup I just wanted to say hi and that I can relate to you. I work now but for awhile I couldn't work because the depression was really bad. Now it seems that my anxiety is poking its head out again. I am still working but it is getting tough. It is difficult but you can get through it.
    Take care and stay safe,

Thank you Lendi and Mel The worst part is that dh and I really need the money and he gets so frustrated, but doesn't want to upset me. I feel like I am slowly getting better, but sometimes I think I'm the only one that notices. (except for my counselor) And of course the stress of not working makes it even harder....

    Hi KitKat...

I have also been told I have very mild agoraphobia, some obsessive/compulsive tendencies (mostly obsessive I think), social anxiety among others. Can you leave your house at all? I can, but not comfortably unless dh is with me. He travels a lot for work, and sometimes I don't leave the house until he gets back.

Over the past few weeks it has gone from being able to sit in the car, to barely being able ot go outside. This has occured since Aug of 2003 and slowly went form fear of anyplace with flurscent lights (Wal-mart/mall/restaurants) to not being able to drive or go anywhere with out my mother. Even if I do leave the house its only to drive within 5 miles of my home and I do not get out of the car. However last month I was able to leave my house on my own and was driving by myself for hours every day, and then out of no where I am unable to leave my home. Its a very scarey feeling, not only the panic attacks, but the constent fear of them.

I am still working - but don't know if I can do it next year. (teacher) It seems to be getting worse by the week. My T is discouraging me from looking into disability.....I don't think she knows how bad I am at work.

I'll be 21 next month.. I dropped out of college last yr...cuz of depression and anxiety. I have never been able to work cuz of health or because I was too depressed..I tried 2 jobs.. I worked less than 2 weeks each time.. I can leave the house, etc...I don't have actual panic attacks, I have generalized anxiety, double depression, and social anxiety disorder.. I'm not ocd either.. I can leave hte house, but I often don't. I am living with my parents, I hate livign with my parnets, and they are having to pay my COBRA to keep getting insurance now that I've dropped out..its 400 amonth extra plus several meds arente ven covered..it sucks..my parents wont be able to keep it up, I'm a huge burden to them. I can't work..can't go to school..I"m not married..and my parnets are going into debt cuz of me... I'm sorry I don't have any words of wisdom or encouragment at all . The only thing that keeps me going is...Jesus and my fiancee of 5 yrs...that I've never met in person.. on the net..whos the best person in the world, but whos as poor as me.

I know how you feel LaurieAnne, but it will eventually work out. I'm still working things out myself...but I believe that everything happens for a reason. BTW...I am proof that internet relationships CAN have a happy ending. I met my husband (3 yrs in July) through AOL, and moved about 2500 miles to be with him. Don't give up hope

I too have an anxiety disorder, OCD. It got really bad recently and I am away at college and I didnt want to leave my room. I really have been wanting to go back home. I had a long tearful talk with my Mom yesterday. i am goin to therapy and have decided to stay on school out for the rest of the yr. I seem to be experiencing some improvement so hopefully the improvement continues. Today was a better day. Each day is a challenge and a struggle. I am fighting hard to beat it cuz I dont want it to interfere with my life anymore and I fear how bad it could get.
