I just started myself a week and a half ago...I don't really have any tips. I didn't like the resistance band so I went with free weights. I also couldn't move the first few days I was so sore! So be prepared for that. But it eases up. I'm moving up to the third video starting next week!

I doubt I've lost any inches or anything yet (especially since the diet has been bad ), but I feel SO much better about myself knowing I'm doing it and I feel stronger!

Good luck!

My main tip is to make a point to STICK WITH THE PROGRAM for the full 6 weeks. Don't skimp on the workouts.

Of course, if weight loss is your goal, you'll be better off with a calorie controlled diet in addition to Si6, but the program alone says what it does and does what it says. You will be slimmer in 6 weeks.

BTW, you might want to plan to take a hot bath each night after your first few workouts to deal with the soreness.

Congratulations on starting the 3rd one!!

That's important to feel stronger. I'm wanting that, too.

Honestly, I have never paid much attention to my caloric intake. I don't feel like I consume gobs of it. I drink water at meals and eat pretty healthy... I need to have more servings of fruits and veggies, though. It's so expensive to do that. I at least make sure we have some green beans. lol

Thanks for the hot bath tip.

If weight loss is your goal, it might be worth it to journal what you eat each day, for a week, and plug it into fitday, just to get a general idea.

There's a misconception that people who are overweight eat 'gobs' of food, but that isn't the case. Frequently, the difference between losing/maintining/gaining, can be 300 calories. Which is the equivalent of 1 McDonald's Egg McMuffin.

vegetables are cheaper than meat

I don't buy meat. lol Poultry is where it's at for me.

I eat for my blood type. Hey do you find frozen veggies to be just as good as fresh? I've been checking some of those out, lately. I wondered about the frozen steamed veggies... you steam them in the microwave using the bag they come in...as far as I understand. I suppose that doesn't matter as long as you're just getting some vegetables in your system.

Kat, my late-Grandma, had a daily journal (loved to write) and at the side of each entry she would list what she had to eat that day. I'm sure I can do that!

I'm so excited about all this. Thanks for being encouraging. You are my inspiration, Kat.

Frozen is supposed to be just as good, but I wouldn't steam them in the microwave - they lose a lot of nutrients that way... Same goes for boiling.

Best to steam them in a plug in steamer, or on the stove with a steamer basket.
