Well I finshed the first part of our foster to adopt program today. DH has 9 hours to go and will be finished in 3 weeks. We are quite prepared and moving through the application process.
DH and I currently only have one room and are case worker says we will be licensed for 2 children. We are pleased with this and are definatly willing to take on a sibling group.
Yesterday........I fell in love with a sibling group of 3. The case workers say this is definatly something they can work with us on. The children are young - 1 y.o girl, 3 y.o. boy and a 5 y.o boy. They are adorable. The boys have very mild FAS and are progressing on schedule. The only problems to date are the 5 y.o has trouble grasping new information. They are very much on a routine and need structure......which brings us to.....DH - he is waiting to hear if he gets this new job. If he does he will make more than we do currently together and I could be a stay at home Mom. I am praying that the Lord grants us the oppurtunity to pursue these children further. I know that in order to do so I would need to be available to them 24 hours a day. Please pray for us that the answers come.
I hope you all find what you are looking for.

Hi Lisa, Well I just wanted to say that I will be praying for you all. I hope that everything works out the way that you want it to....I know you are excited and it's so hard to wait to know the out come of it all, but the Lord still works miracles and he knows the desires of our hearts and he does answer prayers. I know I prayed a long long time to get pregnant and have a baby and it didn't happen for years and years...One year after another went by and I was heart broken. I just told the Lord, I said I'm leaving it in your hands, It was doing me no good to worry about it any longer, I said Lord if there is a baby out there for me, please sent it to me, I will love it no matter what. I wasn't meant to be pregnant at the time, but I was meant to open my heart and home to a beautiful baby girl that was born April 16th of this year. And it happened so quick it was unbelieveable. The only way this happen was because of the Lord, He knew my desires, he knew my heart and he knew what was best for that baby out there. And now we're "one" and a family and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. So you just hang in there and keep faith in the Lord and everything will work out wonderful. Everything the Lord does is perfect and the timing is always perfect....No matter what! Keep that faith! God be with you and yours.
Thank you everyone for all the lovely thoughts. I contacted the case worker for the children and well lets just say she made me want to cry. She was so blase about the whole thing I worry that these children will never be placed. It was like pulling teeth to ask questions and get answers. It was a nightmare. Instead of crying though I prayed for the caseworker because if she is responsible for these children. DH and I will be able to submit our case study once its done in early July. I know God will see these children get with the right family.
