My Doctor prescribed my Provera to take for 5 days. Tomorrow will be my 5th day. For the last three days I have be experiencing extreme drowsiness. Is this a normal side effect of provera. I looked for through my side effect sheet and could not find anything. I have taken Provera one time before..but that was a few years ago..so if I experienced this before its possible I just don't recall it.
I would be greatful for any input..although I guess I will know soon enough. Tomorrow is my last day LOl!

I have spoken with a few others and they said it isn't uncommon. It was also reccommended that I take the Provera at night to try to cope with the side effect. Although I had no further problems once my cycle of provera was done. Wishing you the best!

Taking provera or prometrium makes me VERY tired so I always take it at night before bed. I was told that was a normal side effect, I think my scrip even lists it... the "do not operate heavy machinery until you know how this drug affects you" bit. I always get a good nights sleep while I'm taking it though

I am on day 3 of provera 10mg ( takng for 10 days) I cant take these headaches. I hate to take ibuprofen but they work on headaches so I am. I feel like the headaches come and go-like its a dull one and then in waves it gets worse and I get a bit nauseous but nothing major. I ate something when i felt nauseuos yesterday and it got better. I asked my doc about it causing acne like others have said and he said NO it doesn't. Who knows-so far none for me!
