Question Is this a sign/Symptom of PCOS

Hot Flashes? Anybody else have them? I've started to get them on a daily basis. I'm only 21--I dont want to be going through menopause already.

I started having hot flashes about 6 months before i was Dx with PCOS. I was taking Ortho-tri-cyclen. When my gyn found out that i had PCOS he changed my bcp to Lo-Orval. Since then I might have had one to two hotflashes and that was within the first month that i switched. You might just need to switch bcp like i did. hope this helps.

So far the only hot flashes I have had with PCOS is while I am on clomid on the actual days of 5-9, those 5 days I get the hot flashes...

That's the only relation I have with hot flashes and PCOS...

Ive had hot flashes for as long as I can remember. I will be fine one minute & sweating like crazy the next minute. My husband is always cold and he laughs at me for wearing shorts in the house in the middle of the winter. I dont wear them out in public because I dont want people thinking im nuts but I do wear whatever keeps me comfy in the house. Just about every night I wake up sweating. My husband works 3rd shift so I control the temp in the house at night. I usually set the temp on 65 and I still wake up sweating. Oh & I run a fan at night all year long. Even when its 25 degrees outside, I have a fan going in the bedroom. I guess its a good thing that my husband works 3rd shift. My mom has the same problem that I do. She ask her doctor about something to help her to not sweat so much & he laughed at her. He said nothing could control it. So I do my best to adjust. I always dread the summer though.

Sweating a lot--it is SD--winter in SD...I'm ALWAYS cold--always have at least two shirts and covered with blankets and still cold. THe past few weeks--i've stripped down to short-sleeved shirt but then cold then back to sweating. Cold showers at night. T-Shirt and Undies to bed with covers but always wake up sweating, etc. Yes, I run a fan at all times--directly at me. I am on Ortho-Tri-Lo...hmm.
