I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago...and now my sis was diagnosed withe pcos and is going in on monday for her d/c and lap surgery. they've been trying for 2 years for a baby. i keep encouraging her along the way and i'm happy shes finally getting the surgery.
how sucessful are our cysters at bfps after this surgery. do i have a good reason to give her lots of hope???

I had my first lap in Oct. 197. The Dr. was sure we would conceive within the next few months. However I had our wedding planned for the following April, had my dress, EVERYTHING! So he put me in a menopause until the wedding. He said I was that prone to getting prg. I came off the meds 2 weeks after the wedding, and went on clomid.
I got prg. with my DS 3 months after our wedding,

I think the surgery success and subsequent BFP depends on the extent of the endo present, location, etc...

I posted on the ttc board but she's going to start femara and if that doesn't work then she'll finally see the specialist. So, so far, we are just waiting.

Did the lap go alright? Were they able to determine anything? How did her ovaries/tubes look? Did her d/c give any information as to why she has not conceived?
If it's too many questions don't worry about answering. I just hope this isn't an endo case being overlooked. Endo seems to be the last thing on some dr's minds and can cause infertility and damage to the reproductive organs if left untreated.
I hope she gets the help she deserves and needs
