Question Sister has problem

Ladies,
My younger (only full) Sister found out yesterday that she has a thyroid problem. Whatever high or low I don't know yet. But it was enough to scare the doctor to send her immediately to an endocrinologist. She called and the 1st appointment they gave her was in March '03. Well there was a canellation and she is being seen TODAY. Otherwise the doctor was going to get her in within 2 weeks. I'll know more after her appointment today.
I am being the bigger sister here. She was not overly concerned about my PeriMenopause and PCOS dx and we have never really been close like girlfreinds, but I would really appreciate any links you might be able to give me so I can pass along the information to my mom (no net since laid off) so she won't worry as much.

I read the current posts on the board and got about.com and ithyroid.com. I will be checking those soon. I really do appreciate all the cooperation we show each in times like this.

Thanks again ladies. I love ya'll. {{{HUGS to ALL}}}
