Smile Skin issues.....

My skin is gross! Thats the only way to say it. I live in NYC and the weather here is cold and dry. I usually use a facial moisterizer, but lately my skin has been horrible. I am not on any drugs....Anyway to my question What do you suggest in terms of skin care products?

My skin is combination, if I use a moisterizer with too much oil it gets oily. Lately is dry and very flakey. Also it is not even in tone (thanx PCOS!) i have dark areas on my face. Also large pores, but not too much acne only ocassional.
ANY suggestions would be great!!!
Thanx in advance!

It's probably all PCOS related as you probably already know. How are your hormone levels. I think getting hormones in check will improve your skin but I am no doc. OH I have dry flaky skin. I wanted to tell you I use body butter by Seacret. It is thick and luxurious but not for your face but they sell WONDERFUL face products that I also love love love. I highly recommend the salt scrub with oil too. It is great for the winter months when it is so cold with dry skin.
Discoloration may be because insulin resistance. I am still awaiting my insulin results back but I have skin discoloration and it is how I got the tests ran that got me diagnosed as PCOS.
For my face before Seacret products I used Aveeno non scented lotion. It worked and did not make my face too oily as I seem to have the same issue as you but my face gets really dry and needs a moisturizer.

Try to get your hormone levels under control if your not, I had the same problem, I have large pores, oily skin, cyctic acne, and real bad uneven tone skin color. My dr. recommend me on dianne 35 its a birth control pill to help balance my hormones level, it helps you get a reguler cycle, slow the growth of facial hair, and also it has an ingredient in it just to strick those ugly acne pimples. he also gave my a cream call retin a, I started using both last month and so far my face is awsome, I must say, my face is no longer oily, my pores has reduce in size, and I can see my acne dissappearing, I feel so much better about myself now, only problem now Ihave is my facial hair, my gyno tell me that once I get my hormones level under control I can start laser treatment, so next month after being on diane 35 (3rd cycle) I'll be going to get my facail hair remove.
