Really weird, I don't have acne but I do have overly oily skin and in some areas skin so dry it hurts. I have been told in the past by dermatologists I had what they thought was excema on my arms and legs. It's not really possible to go out and but 10 different soaps and lotions for 10 different areas, so what do most of you use for combination skin problems and is it over the counter?

I have pretty much the same problem as you, I use oil free makeup and powder to keep from being too oily on my face and I use face lotion on the dryer parts every day... not every day for the oily parts. I try not to use things on my arms since that is where the so called excema is the worst and it feels like it just irritates it. All I can do really is try not to itch... I do use body butter on my legs though, I go to The Body Shop and get brazil nut or coconut body butter and that helps to keep them smooth right after I shave. Out of curiousity, what do you currently use?

I'm still searching for the perfect face wash and cream. My eczema was always worst on my legs, which stinks cause every time I shave I have to fight myself not to itch cause if I do it looks really red. I used to have a dermatologist who would give me Lidex to mix with Lubriderm for my legs and it worked amazingly! Haven't been to a derm in years though so it is just regular Lubriderm until I can see another doc.

I have mild acne, not cystic or severe, but also have psoriasis and combination skin like you. I'm 30 now, and in the last 5 years or so, it's the weirdest things on my face, my cheeks, chin, area around my eyebrows is so dry it peels and cracks, but my forehead and nose are SO oily. My face tolerates moisturizer more now than i did in the past, i just use an oil free oil of olay, i use oil of olay face wash cream with witch hazel, can't use any kind of scrubs, they dry me out too much. I have horrible psoriasis on my hands, and being a nurse does'nt help, i wash my hands probably 100 times a shift at work. Burt's bees almost milk cream works wonders on my hands, psoriasis spots, even when my face is very dry in the winter. I have very sensitive skin as well and can't tolerate a lot of creams, fragrances, etc, but all of the burt's bees stuff i absolutely love!
What I would recommend would be a gentle cleanser like Verite' from Estee Lauder for the face. It's oil-free, and fragrance-free for sensitive skin. That way, it won't make your face too oily, yet, it won't dry out the drier areas. There's an entire line in Verite' (toner and moisturizer as well). I'm not sure of the price range, but I do know that a little goes a long way, so it's not something you'd be buying frequently.
For the body, I'd recommend Clinique Body Butter. It's very lightly fragranced(it has shea butter), and is GREAT for dry skin.
I typically recommend Clinique products, because they tend to have the most products for all skin types.
