I'm starting to get them around mostly around my collar bones, neck and armpits. I swear they are sprouting up overnight. I've read that this is a PCOS thing.

Anyone else have 'em?? Should they be removed?? Is it painful??

I heard that this is a PCOS related thing too, although I don't have them myself (which I'm not sure really why I don't) they are considered to be harmless and just annoying and unsightly.

My boyfriend/partner gets them.. he's actually removed a couple himself, not sure if I'd recommend that though. If you're worried about them, I'd get them looked at.

Good luck, hopefully someone else here has them and can help you better.

Yes I get skin tags too (and have been diagnosed with pcos). I was told these are also a symptom of pcos. Mine are only pretty small, and mostly under my arms or in places under my clothes so they don't really bother me. They hurt if u try and pull them off (lol, doesn't stop me from trying ) but perhaps if they really bother you you could get your doctor to remove them. As far as I know it's just a little bit of excess skin, so nothing major.

i have skin tags.. and i have had them removed by my doctor... i recommend it WAY over self removal... it doesn;t hurt to bad, they like just cut them off, some bleed some dont. i have them too, under my arms and on my neck.. my friends giggle aboutt he one on my eye... i got that off my self and now there's just a ITTTY BITTTY one there.

but yeah they're not that bad.. if they bug you. tell your doctor. and see what they can do.

Hi there,

I have one on my neck that bothers me a LOT!! Did you have to go to a dermatologist to remove the skin tag or will a GP just snip it off?

Thanks,
Mimi.

I have had a couple and I just snipped them off myself. It hurts just like a little pinch, then it bleeds. But it takes just a second and it's gone!

I have them mostly under my arms. I heard that the Freezing Wart Remover (sorry, don't know the actual name) works to remove them. I'm too chicken to try it though!

Thanks for all the input ladies!!

I think I'm going to see my GP and see if he'll snip them off for me. I have a couple that bother me only cause they're embarresing if I wear a v-neck or scoop neck shirt.

This is fine during winter with lots of sweaters but spring isn't too far away and I can't wear turtlenecks forever!

I have a bunch on my neck and have tried snipping them off myself before and they seem to come back. Has anyone else noticed that/

Also, I'm starting to get some on my eyelids. Has anyone had them removed from the eyelid before?

I was told that you can freeze it with an ice cube, slightly pull it and then snip it. I have a big one on my neck but since it doesn't bother me i leave it alone.

I have tons of them. Most of them are in places that aren't visible, but there sure are a lot of them. During each of my pregnancies they increased more. My dr. told me I could clip them, or have her do them. I've been to wimpy to clip them myself, so I will likely have her start removing some for me at my next appointment.

And yes, it is a PCOS thing.

I have tons, especially under my armpits. They have gotten worse since I have been off the pill. My doctor says it is almost pointless to remove them because they will keep coming back. So you are definitely not alone.
